Maybe because he gets the ball back sometimes and Grimes makes quick decisions. IQ also fit well and made the offense flow. Something I noticed considering talk Randle is the ball stopper on offense. Last night showed a glimpse that it may be RJ and JB who need to improve with that. Keep saying we need a better wing. Not giving up on RJ but he should take notice because maybe a better all around upgrade for him, may be what some start to notice is needed?
I think what you saw was guys hitting outside shots which opens things up. Grimes got more looks and he answered the call. Seems that Randle is more versatile than the stereotype we painted him to be.
Im not saying last night was not good. there was positives and we now see why Thibs had Grimes penciled in all along!
He finally has gotten his legs and rhythm and showing what he can do. This team is a work in progress.
Your not wrong BTW.
Lets celebrate Grimes as a major win for the FO via the draft! There was some silver linings to last night.
It’s amazing how much better without RJ? Right fellas

You know thats coming sooner or later!
If Thibs did not play him so much he'd have thicker skin and his finger would not have been compromised.

Obi for Hali!
Don't think Pacers have any interest in that.
Rumor is Knicks want to stockpile picks. If it's just Obi probably get a pick back.
If they are trying to add EF maybe Buddy comes back? He has been rumored to be on the block.

Heild for Fournier and Obi? Smackeddog drops dead immediately frim the excitement after hearing the news. The rest of us do the same after realizing this means we'll be forced to finish the season watching the twin towers of Hart/Sims come off the bench.

Are we still trying to trade for Duarte? He’s 25, four years of college ball and 2nd year as a pro. Is he any good? I don’t know. Seems we are trying to kick some cap down the road. No Cam, IQ rumors and now Obi?
Please do not trade Obi within the conference

What I was thinking or just picks. Duarte shooting just 31% from three. FO have been fans.
Pacers have been part of a lot of rumors so not sure if this will be a straight swap or part of a bigger trade involving other teams.
Trading Obi for just a pick would be disappointing.

Shot a respectable 37% from 3 last year.
They have Hali, Hield, Mathurin, Neismith.
Only Jalen Smith as young PF type?

I can almost see that for Indiana, they clear starter minutes for Mathurin and nab a PF while bringing Fournier off bench.
Knick get shooter.

Heid rumors have been the loudest. Probably gets moved.
Don't want to get Neismith. Don't think Briggs can take that type of excitement.

Obi is my fav player on the team...loved the way he and IQ developed their games toward the end of last season. Was looking forward to seeing them both get get bigger roles and continue developing. If Obi is traded I will be very disappointed to see him go...
Nah keep Obi. He’s good value back up I think.

Taking on three years for Heid would be tough. They would have to add a pick?
What about Cam and EF for Love? Cavs want two way wing that can defend and need a spot up to spread floor for DM. Especially if rumors of Obi to Indiana for picks are true.

Heild is essentially on same contract length as Fournier, one more year left at $19m.

You are right. Totally missed it. That would work.
Another idea. Cam and Obi for Huerter and draft rights to Vezenkov??
With how IQ is playing if the FO trade him, that might be incompetence if it wont bring a star to the knicks. With jalen and RJ out IQ, Grimes and Deuce has been a bug part of the team. Randle has been playing well leaving Obi the most likely youngster to be traded. I dont know why thibs and the FO cant copy what Kerr did with curry and Poole, they both play the same position and kerr was able to find minutes for Poole so now that curry is out, Poole is ready to take over.
