That's the heart of it. A lot of things you keep repeating mean nothing.
If that’s you and fish take, I’m ok with that. If everything I said means nothing, I’m 100% fine with that.
Now that’s not my approach. There’s several posters that say stuff I don’t understand or agree and that’s ok. One thing we all agree on is the Knicks trying to win a chip. That’s the ultimate goal we all agree with (I think 🤔). I could be wrong.
when you repeat the same things that "mean nothing" it's clearly agenda driven.
He’s doing better but same ole thibs.
your words
So this the statement thats bothering you? This is my opinion. What’s the problem? Come on fish you better than that.

Hate is a strong word. I hate no one.
Saying thibs runs his players into the ground is an old discussion and it’s something he will carry with him during his entire coaching career. Regardless is that’s true or not. It’s an opinion.
But why call me out on that? With nothing to back it up with. I gave you facts based on the gam le and what I saw. I saw the game was over and Randle was gased. In my opinion he could’ve sat them earlier. You think he did everything right. Ok move on. There’s nothing else to discuss there. We just disagree on Randle coming out with 25 secs left because thibs is trying to win. Got it. Doesn’t mean I have to agree with it. Or call you out about it. We both disagree, next topic.
Fish, I complained about thibs playing his starters too long in the 4th quarter since his first year. That’s why I said same ole thibs. Playing his starters til the very end. I’m worried more about Randle and how he looked towards the end. He looked beat up and fatigued. More than normal. Glad he came in shape this season.

Do you take into account what the NBA norm is?
Think this is what others are referring to.
"Running to the ground" type statements suggests Thibs plays his players A LOT more than most coaches. Which is just not true.

Yes Hofstra. This was discussed 3 yrs ago when he was hired. I’m sure there’s a long thread about this already. You probably missed that discussion. But that’s why I was surprised fish highlighted this like it’s new. This is old. The stats do not back up this VERY OLD argument about thibs so I understand completely why people are confused about my statement. Running players into the ground is an old statement that Thibs can not run from. That has nothing to do with me or my statement of playing Randle until 25-30 secs was left then he took Randle out. Just a minor point on simple facts and why people complained about thibs from day one on burning out players. It’s more a perception thing with that.
Don’t worry he will do it again. That’s who thibs is. Plays his guys until he is absolutely sure we won the game. In my opinion he just plays his guys a little longer towards the end than I would like. But that’s my opinion.
“same ole thibs” got everybody or fish rattled I see. I wish I had that much power over my own kids. Thibs has changed but certain things remain the same. And winning by any means necessary is what thibs and most coaches do. It will happen again and I will say “same ole thibs” again. Sorry if that statement offended anyone.
Guess it took 20 yrs to realize sarcasm doesn’t come across well in chat. That’s the bulk of the misunderstandings.

"same old blkexec..." says something than backtracks and goes sideways, ignores NBA norms to support arguements. Its all good.. nobody is rattled by your wildly strong (non-hateful) dislike for Thibs
I think it's a quota thing... like since he's holding Randle accountable now there's gotta be SOMETHING we can ride this guy about.

The back tracks is to help you guys out because everybody is lost in the sarcasm. Same ole thibs was a sarcastic comment. The evidence was in Hofstra response. So I have to go back 10 post ago to clarify my stance on the topic. That’s all.
No sarcasm - Thibs is exactly what this team needs. Old school rules.
Sarcasm - same ole thibs. Rigid like a cement block.
No Sarcasm - I love thibs. Teaching the yoots how to earn PT
When I say something you can improve on, why does that mean I hate or dislike that person? Maybe I don’t say enough good things about thibs is that it? If I did that, I would sound just like you.
That’s too easy and no fun.
For those who are perfectionists like me will understand. We knit pick to a fault. But thibs is fine. There’s no replacement available so it’s a waste of time to discuss.
Learn to love him and what he brings to the table vs focusing on what he’s not. So I’ll work on that personally. Don’t want the hater label 🏷 to be permanent. I love everybody ❤️

Would agree that it does seem strange to leave starters in with 20 point leads. I had a coach that would rarely take his starting 5 out of a game at the end. Regardless of the lead. He never took us out. Except for maybe one or two guys to give players he felt would step in due to injury. The philosophy was that he wanted us to be in shape and keep our competitive playing style/mindset regardless of the score. Said it is a big challenge to play the right way when you are up big.
The other side of why Thibs does what he does may simply be because players want to stay in. Most do not like being taken out regardless of the score. There is also the adding to stats thing. Maybe why most have said Thibs is such a players coach. Do think minutes should be mitigated more but do not give any credence to the whole "Thibs runs players to the ground" narrative.
Thibs held Jules accountable. now he is vying for an allstar spot.

It’s probably safe to not jump the gun and simply asked me a question and I’ll give a serious answer. But I’ll admit there’s sarcasm mixed in. But don’t take my criticism as hate or dislike. That’s far from true.

Jules could be a 2x all star under Thibs. Meanwhile we're a winning team under that coach I think, we are going young, developing kids, stocking picks.. Its almost like the program is being turning around right under our noses.... hmmmmm

First time going into the New Year with a winning record since 2017.
If not for two breakdowns we would be 12-3 in last 15.
But we have not improved.

Lots of synergy all around. Randle won the fans back with those mpv chants
