Pumped for this game. I dont wanna see us lose to Grayson Allen again
I wonder if we'll have Grimes on Giannis. He did a good job on Siakim the other night!

That'd probably be worth a shot. You don't really want Randle on him too much (he'll foul out). We'll probably see how Grimes does in terms of keeping in front of him (very difficult with Giannis's long strides).
Someone has to be the sacrificial lamb. Maybe they'll give Mitch and Hart a crack - then someone will need to keep close to Lopez to keep him from going off with his perimeter shooting.
If Mitch starts on him he's gonna have 2 fouls in like 90 seconds. I think Jericho Sims should get a look on Giannis- he has the mobility, size and length
they need to hustle back and build a wall. Deny the easy stuff like they did with Siakem

Speaking from experience. Sometimes a shorter defender is better on Giannis, because he doesn't use his post-up game. And since he plays downhill from the 3pt line and beyond (where guards like Grimes is comfortable), Grimes is quick enough to cut off those long traveling Euro Steps. With the "block-ness monster" protecting the rim. This is why I like having a Cam type build on the roster, who's 6'8 with guard like quickness.
But Grimes will be fine. In Thibs we trust.....and he will have a game plan for Yannis tonight. The question is do we have the defensive personal thats needed to control him?
I think Cam is our best matchup physically, but as we know it’s very unlikely he’ll resort to using him unless something goes very, very wrong.
It’ll take Grimes, Mitch, Hart, and Sims to be in deep foul trouble. And even then he’ll try Fournier first.

Not for me, Cam is not strong enough.
Sims matches up really well and the Knicks can use his fouls.

And make Mexico pay for it!!!……too soon?

And remember not to leave Grayson Allen wide open
forgot to say: we win. I feel it in my bones

We’re going to need more than simply Sims fouls. I don’t think Cam is effective enough to stay with him, but would be worth giving him a shot depending on the score and how things are going.

I’m sure Thibs will be all over that
