pathetic defense and pathetic shooting from RJ and Randle from 3 especially. No way to win.
Can we move the remaining home games to a neutral site?
will Thibs take the starters out? They look like shit.
Imagine being a season ticket holder and seeing this shit night after night.
1 minute left he leaves the starters out there- why?
One of the worst games od the year - down the whole.way. game was lost in the first q
well- the upside is hopefully the Wizards make a nice run and get into the play offs and we can get an extra draft pick this year.
They looked gassed as a team.
That one was for Wembanyama
Sloppy Selfish Ball led the Knicks to only having 14 Dimes vs Wizards
17 Dimes in an OT game vs Raptors
17 Dimes vs the Pistons
If we keep this up .. we gonna need to sign a FA PG in the offseason
At the end of 3rd Qtr. Brunson played 31 minutes having 1 Dime to show for his performance.
This is not a good way to start our roughest ten game stretch ..
Hopefully, this will be Tom Thibs final season as a Knicks
If comebacks are just how the NBA is now how come we don't do it? We still running those inefficient ISO's? We still overusing the starters so they tired at the end of the game? My fault lets ignore the bad since we did well vs the not good teams. We have one of the hardest remaining schedules left. That means we had one of the easiest so far this season.
We should have been using the soft part of the schedule to fix issues not to ignore them. Who am I to talk anyway I just make things up. I'll just disappear again with my gold stars for getting things right.
I can't watch this anymore. Why the waste the time? The best that will happen is they get smoked in the play in. Can't keep losing to bad teams at home. So damn frustrating. Time to gut the roster. Starting with RJ.
Everyone once in a while a team just lays a stinker. Knicks Did not give up, they just did not get it done.
Kudos to KP who played a tight game.
Wiz record is suprising as they looked good last night. Beal gets going that depth is going to be a problem for teams.
Bulls and ATL are coming on. Raptors have been suprising bad this year.
Expectations. Knicks been exceeding.
Lets gut them?
Wiz height gave them issues last night. Whats up with the home thing? The road record is quite phenomenal!
Another bad loss at home. I got a bad feeling the Garden is going to cost us a playoff spot and we'll be forced to play in the play-in. We just have no home court advantage (11-13). Can we just play our home games at the new UBS?
This was a fatigue type loss imo. We looked mentally drained. Probably from the Toronto loss. We started off this game sleep walking and couldn't make it up. Brunson tried to bring us back and we got close cutting it down to 7 I believe early in the fourth but give the Wizards credit. They played like the team that needed this game a lot more. They are honestly not a bad team when they are fully healthy. Beal, Kuzma and KP are no bums. And Kispert, Wright and Avdija chipped in. We really need to upgrade the bench scoring. Right now IQ is the only one giving us any offensive production.
Not much else you can say about this one. Low energy overall and poor defensive effort. Especially guarding the three. This team has a game every ten games or so where it just refuses to hustle and contest the three. Randle struggled with his shot for the second straight game. Robinson getting hurt stinks but it's to be expected.
We need a trade!
last night we could have used someone like Vinny Johnson. When guys can't hit shots it's a nice option to have someone off the bench who can try and ignite things
I love Obi and want him to do well but he's looking like a lost soul out there. A lot of knucklehead plays including letting Danny Avidja(sp?) follow a shot for a putback at a key juncture Guys has to toughen up and play his size
I'm oscillating back to fire Thibs- we're not that good and we need to develop more players.

It's shooting. The Knicks have one of the worst shooting teams in the league. If you can't make baskets, you can't come back or it's really hard to.
The Knicks have overcome this with rebounding - especially and obviously offensive rebounding - and defense but you can only do those things so much without actually being able to score.
What did you get right? Remind me.

We are learning how to win. We are learning how we lose. We are a young team. We have a good coaching staff. There is a learning process. Winning is fun but every team has games like last night. On to the next one. Why always such a Debbie downer? This is what .500 looks like. BTW it's 1-14 after last night.
I want assists. It's a measure of the gelling process. I want a lot of assists. We don't have Carmelo in his prime. We should have assists.

Trade Randle for a shooter. Wait, not a shot taker. A shot maker. Get some one who can spread the floor and make shots. Eliminate one iso guy and Bob's your uncle

IMO it's more about the iso-style we play as it's tough to sustain and shoot at the needed clip every night. That's a big part of why I have been wanting to move away from Randle as Thibs seems determined to ride him or die trying. Randle being only good to very good limits us if he (and RJ and Brunson) take too many of the shots as they need to be spread out more. You don't need 5 iso guys to get Grimes more shots and Mitch a few more lobs.
To be fair Randle is trying his best and doing mostly what he's been asked to do. Think it's more of an offensive coaching philosophy-type issue IMO. Yes we don't have enough good players but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that moving the ball more makes you less predictable and harder to defend.
Great teams can get away with 1-2 sticky players if their best player is exceptional at Iso-ball... middle of the road teams (us) can't afford both Randle and RJ (and to a lesser degree Brunson) holding the ball as much - especially when the other starters are one kick out/spot up shooter (Grimes so far) and a C that doesn't shoot if it's not a dunk. It's like pickup games - taking turns going 1 on 1 and your teams best player is not even the best player on the court to begin with. Instead of thinking we need to add another ball dominant very good scorer/player (eg Lavine)... or thinking we add Bullock or Caruso to this group (would help some)... it's time to move away from this offensive style and move either Randle or RJ and try to replace them with a better player at their respective position. Trading away too much for an OG would help but we'd still struggle if RJ and Randle are both starting and dominating the ball too much. Unless they wake up one day and really increase their efficiency and reduce their streaky nature. Very unlikely.

Our biggest problem by far is we have no great 3 point shooters on our roster. This problem won’t be solved during the season, maybe next offseason we trade for Trae
