Hopefully Knicks don't fall for this. Don't think they will.
The ole 'some mystery team".
He is not worth 3 picks. He is due a big pay raise and Raptors, who know him well, do not think he is worth it.
PASS! Rather use a couple of ones and move up a strong drat board.
Strong disagree. The three I listed are highly protected. I gave a post about valuation on picks a ways back and I think you can discount the Detroit, Wash and Dallas picks based on their protections and likelihood to convey. Yes he only has one full year left after this on his contract, but his advanced stats are off the charts. Effort, efficiency, defense, low usage. I mean, he is a prototype of what this team needs. I don't think we need all the picks we have. I'd make that move for OG all day.
Young guys that play hard is what we need.
You can find Grimes, Quick, Mitch, Simms every draft.
We can’t draft for shit in the top 10. Honestly we still have RJ, Obi, picks and Julius to move if need be. You need soldiers out there and OG, Grimes and Brunson are it.

I love the comment says “Wow” when it was probably just the Knicks offering 3 protected picks from other teams.
The Raptors have 3 similar long wing players in Siakam, Barnes and Anunoby. Of the 3, i think Anunoby has the lowest ceiling but probably the best defender of the 3. I think if he leaves the Raptors if given an opportunity, his game might take the next step. He is not a superstar but i think he can be worth investing in. If the knicks can give one of their own 1st rounders and two 1st from other teams plus spare parts(fournier another end of bench player, that would be ideal. If they can somehow get Grayson Allen from the bucks for Reddish and a second rounder or two, this team might have enough to win in the 1st round of the playoffs.
Reminds me of Luol Deng. Maxed out ceiling

It was 100% us that offered the 3 protected 1sts we have and the Craptors said no (and that was the end of that)- from one of the podcasts and also backed up by the discords (won't specify anymore as the original person who revealed this a few days before the news came out did a bad job of concealing it and weren't meant to reveal it).
Personally (and this isn't based on any intel) I think we'll revisit this before the deadline- wouldn't be surprised if we offer maybe one of our younger players or maybe one of our own picks. Think Raptors will still ultimately say no to what we offer. Wouldn't be surprised if a team like the Pelicans end up doing a deal for him (can offer picks and young players)

This has kinda been out there since last season. I think there was a point where OG might not have been starting last season. Problem is that Masai is calling his bluff.

I'm guessing a move won't be made until after the season.

Protected or not they still have a lot of value. Would rather use that value, which seems enough to get OG, for moving up in the draft and picking someone that is highly rated, may provide the same and will offer much higher cap flexibility. Just do not see OG as a game changer.
Agree that he has good attributes but just not worth it for me.

Right, that bluff is only really good until this summer I think?

Fucking guy makes my rants look short! He stretches this out with little content offered. LOL........
3 first rounds? Yeah, the protected ones matter. The time and distance of them matter.
LIke everything, price matters. Rumors don't.
How Good is OG? He is basically what everyone wants Grimes to become. He is a developed (25 year old) Grimes (22).
hes so good Toronto wants to trade him

Great post!!!!!
The issue I see it is that he has less of a role and yet will command a rather sizable price that Raptors might feel is best put to use elsewhere.
We will have this come up with IQ at some point. He might be “indispensable” today, he could be “expendable” should knicks make a trade. Very likely he could be part of the trade.
I like him with RJ,, Randle and JB. Grimes off the bench still can play a big part of this team. If he can take minutes from RJ, and replace him that makes RJ a great trade chip. I prefer both excel and make it hard. Means team succeeds and trade values up!
Briggs has a point. Issue is they are stacked with yoot and need to make a deal.

It's also what happens when you lose the locker room AND are losing and have guys who all want the ball more.
They have no less than 4-5 guys who are gunning for their next contract over the next 2 years - Trent, FVV this coming summer and Siakam, OG next (not to mention Achiuwa, Flynn too) and you have Barnes who was the next big thing who wasn't traded for Durant needing and wanting the ball too.
That whole starting lineup wants the ball MORE to show for their next contract. It's a recipe for disaster and they are managing their way thru it.
I'm assuming Masai saw how Dallas handled Brunson and will act accordingly.
And the same for the Knicks

We can argue over value a little bit, but the fact is that we got 3 protected picks for the 11 pick. This didn't include the Dallas pick, but the Dallas pick is arguably worse than anything included in the trade. So, yes, its possible that someone in the lottery will accept the same offer from us of three picks for 1 pick but I think the ease of moving up with late lotto picks was proven difficult when we had the 19 and 21.
I'm not throwing them away, but Toronto turned down the 7 pick overall for OG Anonunby from Portland. OG has real value. He will be in the top 5 for DPOY. His low usage, eFG and length make him perfect for this team. He is everything I wanted Cam to be. If you could promise me any of those picks would become OG, I would hesitate, but in my grand scheme, I'm adding length, defense and eFG and hustel stats. He leads the league in steals despite missing time.
I don't think people understand OG. I would give up all three picks all day every day and still doubt Toronto says yes. I would assume we fleeced them.

With 6 more inches of wingspan and the ability to slot Barrett back to SG where he has a comparative advantage.
