I think I heard on the broadcast something about meditation. No lie.

guy has a temper issue and is working on it. Good job Jules. Knicks are better.

I cant believe Brown missed those FTs. I thought only Thibs coached players made mistakes like that

Bottom line is Knicks have a TEAM, and a bunch of guys that can get after you.

Right now IQ is the really the #3. Feels like what we get from him was a lot like what Rose gave us 2 years ago

I like IQ, he has been playing great. ButbIll be honest when I looked up his averages, his on court performance was much better than the numbers dictated.

Best win of the season! On the road on national TV (TNT is awful!) against the top seed team in the East! And that's the second straight win in a close game against a really good team! We're getting better at these and that's a GREAT sign!

It's going to be a damn shame when Randle isn't selected as an All-Star cause he has earned it and deserves it 110%! He's been amazing the entire season and to do redeem himself like this when let's be honest, NOBODY thought he could after last season, is one of the best redemption stories in NY sports! And he's doing it in NYC after he was hated as much as any player the last 20 years! He was once again the catalyst last night with 37/9 and 5 threes. We would have gotten down 25 if it he didn't come to play in the first quarter. And he had two Amar'e type dunks that were crazy! Especially the one on Tatum! And he hit the clutch three in OT when we got down 5.

I do not expect Randle to make the All-Star team because I do expect Brunson to make it and they are not going to select two Knicks. But Brunson 110% deserves it too. He was great again last night with 29/7. IQ had a great second quarter and played great defense on Brown. Sims had 14 big rebounds and Deuce impacted the game defensively.

Kudos to RJ for hitting that clutch three after struggling most of the game! And he also hit the two clutch FT's. Grimes tried his best to defend Tatum but he's just too small. These type of games really bring up the OG trade into question. We are going to need a guy who can check these type of wings and Grimes is too small and RJ isn't good enough at that end.

I not only thought he could do it last season, but I 100% knew he could do it again (All-Star) heading into 2022-2023.

And I never once hated Julius Randle. I had his back throughout it all. Heck. I even attacked our own fan base in support of him. I mocked the Knicks fans @ MSG who booed him. Heck. I even got suspended from here because the booing of Julius Randle bothered me so much, to the point where I said things (that I shouldn't have said). I created a thread called "LEAVE JULIUS RANDLE ALONE" after the booing incident. And I'm just thankful Martin gave me another opportunity because I was raging mad about the one's who booed Julius Randle.

Etc.

Sorry for the rant. Just bothered me the wrong way once reading you state how no one believed he'd return to All-Star form. Because, I did.

I believe in Julius Randle 100%. He's my favorite Knick since #33 Patrick Ewing. And now Jalen Brunson is showing the world what type of Superstar PF Julius Randle truly is (now that he's got himself an elite PG).

I've always believed in this dude.

Wish we had a search function to confirm but I'll take your word for it! Good job! But Randle made himself really unlikeable last season with his play and attitude. Kudos to him for redeeming himself and hoping he can keep it up! I honestly still do not trust him 100% and it's going to take him finishing this season strong and having a great play-in and hopefully playoff series.

IQ is a keeper. Improves every year, no drama, great character and work ethic and has modern day NBA guard skillset to play off the ball or on the ball off the bench. I'd feel super confident and comfortable giving him an extension even if we have to slightly overpay. He almost single handedly kept us in the game last night in the second quarter and he's had multiple games like that.

You see. I've always believed in Julius Randle, I've never once attacked him and I've always (100%) had his back. I knew he hated playing alongside of trash Evan Fournier and also (always) knew he lacked an elite PG (Karl Malone wouldn't have been Karl Malone @ PF; without John Stockton @ PG).

100%. At worst he's a fantastic 6th man on a quality playoff team. He's only 3 years younger than Brunson who was just signed.

He's a CRAZY valuable piece to any team the way he's playing. 2 way guy who can cover backup PG and play multi guard small lineups. His team defense has (literally in 1 year) become elite and is m2m is respectable. He was NOT that his first couple years. This is a guy worth paying.

Exactly the type we will lose if a star shakes free but I'm not banking on that

That sucks man. I pay about $80 for the season and playoffs on the Chinese Tencent app and get all the games with home announcers unless they are national. My friend is a cheapskate and just watches a stream on his VPN. I really think
it's unfair that the best fans like you and Briggs have to leap through expensive rings to watch the hoops you love.

Yeah no worries, I’m too lazy to find a stream. I have FuboTV and get the MSG games, miss about 5 TNT games a year. If it were playoffs, I’d be at a var watching for sure.

When the playoffs suspend Fubu and go to YouTube TV

Julius made his all-star case last night against one of it's starters...including yamming in his face...I think he knew it and had extra juice for this game...Knicks have played well on the road so the result is not terribly surprising...but how the did it....losing the lead..going to OT and being down by 5 and coming back to get the lead and potential game saving block...
team is showing growth..

Usually its the losing that causes me not to sleep. I hate losing. This time the win over the Celtics had me so hyped, I went to sleep late and tired as fuc right now.

But definitely one of the best wins on national TV this season. Just hate we can't bring this same winning behavior in front of our season ticket holders. Gotta fix the home court issues before the playoffs start.

But great team win! We are definitely growing. Just hope the FO doesn't pull another Kemba / EF addition at the trade deadline. Need to add complimentary pieces without shaking the boat too much, (unless it's for a superstar).

I think once the team definitively gets over the late game "yips" and when the other team makes there charge they are not like collectively going "uh-oh" and start playing not to lose all of these close losses and wins will bode well for this team...

Agree they need another piece...not rock the boat but someone that can shoot and defend that Thibs can trust without going thru a full training camp..

Chandler @ 1/27/2023 2:33 PM
in other news: i cant believe TNT has Reggie cover Knicks games. It pains him to compliment the Knicks and he gets absolutely giddy like a school girl when the other team is on some sort of run

Same is true for Richard Jefferson. This shit is old and tired. Bring in some fresh objective talent.

For anyone who wants to kill Grimes for his shooting last night just a friendly reminder that has 50% field goal percentage in the clutch according to NBA.coms clutch stats metric. Small sample size, but the kids was young and an off game. Nothing to go crazy over.

no way... keep firing. Grimes is good. If we lose cause he clangs open looks the kid will shoot a 1000 after the game. We are good with this crew for now.

I just want to see McBride attack the basket and force some bad shots... literally. He's too good a slasher not to take his tries and we have good offensive rebounders. If we can get McBride in attack mode suddenly our bench is a nightmare IMO

Grimes had some GREAT defensive moments in crunch time. Love when he gets looks, but our mid3 should be finishing these (good job RJ)

Randle makes allstar team if Durant backs out.
Injury could elevate him in.
