I have to assume you're skimming.

Look for the "fan" who says if you're not a fan exactly like him, then you've got personal problems.

You might be surprised who that is...

Maybe optimistic does not do him justice. How about overly exuberant, flamboyant and extreme Knicks fan?

... not going to go there as I have my issues with 'fandom' in general.

That said, I find him to be one of the most negative POSTERS here and elsewhere.

Yeah, knicks could slide, as I said

It makes zero sense.

Why would any Knicks fan root for CLEVELAND over Brooklyn?!?

Seems like an easy "poison" to decide.

Rooting for Cleveland wins over BROOKLYN?!?!?

Are you kidding me?

As I'm the curious type, I wonder if you were rooting for Okoro's 3 to fall in the final seconds last night or to miss?

gradyandrew @ 3/24/2023 9:13 PM
Some depressing shit this week.
Caseloads @ 3/25/2023 10:08 PM
Miami got the naughty put on them by Brooklyn tonight

Miami is playing with a huge hole at the 4 spot by starting Kevin love and having no one else 😱

The nets really battled back in this one. Just when I thought Miami could be a fearsome foe in the playoffs... kinda has a similar vibe to our team, 2 very good players, 1 good player, one guy who will score almost nothing, and a guy who may score, but is just as likely to score nothing in the starting line up; and one guy off the bench who can score reliably and get hot; otherwise, mostly duds.

The nets really won their trades for Durant, kyrie and even harden (despite taking on Simmons- those picks are worth it)

Yep, we picked the wrong time to start sucking again. I wonder how much of this is Thibs just overplaying the guys (again)?

If we stay at the 5 seed and Cleveland knocks us out, I think they might move on from both Thibs and Julius. I changed ship to like Julius but
he gave us all a wake up call. Looks like he is back to being too easily shaken off his game. I'm sure management keeps Thibs though and trades half the team for a star. Heck, might work (but with Thibs as coach and Julius a ticking time bomb?)

His '*I* believed the Knicks were GREAT and NONE of you did' schtick doesn't work as well during down weeks.

Always odd for me to see sports fans react to what's a totally standard part of a regular reason this way, where the TRUE measure of any team is how they played the last 2 games.

The almost certain fact is the Knicks weren't as good as the streak and aren't as bad as the current losing streak.

Streaks and slums happen, EVERY year. This is totally normal. The true measure of the Knicks is that they'll probably be a 46-47 win team in year 1 of Brunson, which is pretty good.

Whether than can win 4 games versus a good Cavs team before they do isn't something a front office determines the future of the franchise on, that's a fan thing.

Knicks are NOT firing Thibs or trading Randle based on losing another GOOD NBA team.

They're going to BUILD, not breakdown.

Many are putting their fingers in their ears and yelling "LA LA LA LA LA!!!" when you say that.

NYKMentality @ 4/26/2023 10:27 PM
This thread brought me 2-3 months of NBA FUN!

And once again I couldn't care less what those computers/simulations had to say because NONE of those little stupid/clueless machines EVER predicted the KNICKS to knock off the Cavaliers in the PLAYOFFS (especially before the season started).

3-1 vs. Cleveland Regular Season + 4-1 Playoffs = 7-2 (those simulators could've never predicted that).

Knicks vs Miami Round 2?!?

Those clueless simulators could've NEVER predicted that either.

BECAUSE THE GAMES WILL ALWAYS BE PLAYED ON THE BASKETBALL COURT AND NOT COMPUTERIZED/CALCULATIONS/SIMULATORS

NYKMentality @ 4/28/2023 4:35 PM
Those clueless "simulators" and clueless "percentages" didn't have Knicks beating Cavs 1st round and also didn't have Miami beating Milwaukee 1st round.

Like I've said throughout this entire thread.

Computerized simulators/calculations/percentages doesn't understand the game of basketball and doesn't play the games on the basketball court.

It was SO FUNNY watching that website drop the ball on BOTH Knicks beating Cavs and Miami beating Milwaukee 😭😭😭

NYKMentality @ 5/3/2023 12:01 AM
Where are those stupid little clueless Computerized/Mathematical/Simulation-SIMULATORS @ RIGHT NOW?!?!?!?

Because NONE of those clueless simulators had our NEW YORK KNICKS 2ND ROUND TIED UP @ 1-1 HEADING INTO GAME 3 OF THE NBA PLAYOFF A.) Before the Season and/or B.) Throughout the entire Season....

Now did they?!?

NYKMentality @ 5/3/2023 12:20 AM

PLEASE SOMEONE (ANYONE) TELL ME HOW MANY OF THOSE ELIMINATED TEAMS THOSE CLUELESS (NON-BASKETBALL) SIMULATORS HAD GOING FURTHER THAN THESE 2022 + 2023 KNICKS???

And since I'm (also) the "curious type" I'm now wondering (CURIOUS) if you watched THE SAME NEW YORK KNICKS TEAM THAT I'VE RAVED ABOUT (throughout the entire 2022-2023 season) DOMINATE + ELIMINATE "Cleveland" by the score of 3-1 during the 2023 NBA PLAYOFFS?!?!?
