Help me understand. I'm thinking back to Hubie Brown Knicks, prior to Patrick, sans Bernard. I'm also thinking backing to the Chaney Knicks who did so much with so little talent.
15th best team in the nba. I’ll take that after being the worst team in the nba from 2014-2019
I believe we're an up and coming team that oozes potential due to being extremely young with 8-9 key players (between the ages of 22-24).
After wins against both Cleveland/Boston and then during this 4 game homestand we could've literally gone 4-0 against 4 very good teams in Lakers/Heat/Clippers/76ers but unfortunately we only went 2-2 due to two overtime loses.
But @ the end of the day? To be such a young team? Without our Starting Center in Mitchell Robinson? And we're giving very good to elite teams all they can handle? It's an awesome sign moving forward.
And the more chemistry we're gaining under Jalen Brunson @ PG? We'll continue to improve heading into the PLAYOFFS.

Early to Mid-90’s Nets. Randle is DC. Brunson is Kenny Anderson. Thibs = Daly
Obviously we are up and down but things could be real interesting if the Knicks get a decent playoff seed. They get hot at the right time, our younguns feel more confident, everyone is healthy and gelling? Can you imagine Nets/Knicks first round? Or anyone for that matter. No guarantee at all but I’d take those chances.
We dong this without mitch. Vs Miami without Brunson, took Clippers, a quality team to the limit. Beat Philly without RJ.
We a .500 team. Some weeks the glass is half full or half empty.
Just enjoy the yoot. As Martin said, a young team. That means Inconsistant! RJ, Grimes, deuce are like 22. IQ is 23. Obi and Simms 24.
Brunson is 26. He came to NBA at 22 and look at his progress!!!!! Randle was 25 when he came here!
Give our young guys a chance!!! OBI, RJ, Grimes and Deuce can still grow! IQ made a big push this season at age 23.
Reasons to be cheerful!

Ok, but one has to ask is the all star game later now that they start sooner? 4 more games before the break.
By the time the allstar game is played knicks will have played 60 games. 3/4 of the season.
How many games played is the norm in years past before the break. Its rare that its at the halfway mark, and they usually want to steer clear of the Superbowl, which too is later with a longer season.
Knicks starting line up with Grimes was one of the best in the league. Losing Mitch hurts as he's out best defensive player. Even with him out note the quality wins above.

If one has time and wherewithal to consider such things, kudos to them
like why dont the Knicks get to learn how to close games and get better and build chemistry?
We are finally collecting some guys worth keeping together for awhile and a coach who seems capable to pushing guys to another level. Maybe let this grow/build/develop whatever the phucking word you want to use that acknowledges a culture and system change for the positive.
We lack "star" talent. Jules is great and a true workhorse. He gives up the ball, but he's not a closer and his clutch gene is suspect for sure. Brunson looks great in that role. RJ/IQ/Grimes have ALL shown flashes of coming up big in the clutch. RJ/IQ/Grimes have ALL shown inexperience and stupidity in the clutch.
I get "enjoying the journey" isnt really the Knick fan way, but that's ok. It's pretty clear from the way the team is being run that the FO is more concerned with building than distracting the fan base with shiny objects (can I get an AMEN?!?!?!?)
Some star power currently behind us in win total
Trey/Dejonte
Zach/Derozan
Hali/Turner
Beal/KP
Luka
Curry/Klay/Dray
Towns/Gobert/Edwards
Dame/Grant
Lebron/AD
Its a silly list but a cute data point

great list, and we hustle and outwork teams. that's why we're a good bad team
Good team with some pretty bad moments
Just got a little better. Trading some spare parts for a contributor
