Now that Moe Larry and Curly are gone I have nothing against the Nets. In lieu of the Knicks doing well I hope they do. Just not at our expense of our team course.

It could even finally become a competitive rivalry going forward. I expect to catch them in the standings after the AS break but I don't see them dropping that far. Right after us is OK by me. I would love facing them in the playoffs with all of our fans in their house

Not once during the 4 year supercoolfriends team Nets era did I ever seriously think they were going to win a championship. It literally never even was a thought
KnickDanger wrote:So are the Nets still “cool?” And will there be any revisionist mea culpas on the Knicks “fail” in signing KD and Kyrie? Yeah sure. Two thoughts - no question KD is a magnificent basketball player capable of transforming a team. But how brittle has he become? Second - it would seem this impacts the Knicks’ post season opportunities.
I hate this narrative. I don't know anybody that wanted Kyrie. Durant? sure, but not Kyrie.

First off go back to the moment and think as Durant might of. Knicks are a media trap and he’d be king of the starphuchs. Nets then were under the radar in NYC and he had a chance to rebrand the franchise and himself if they could have accomplished a chip. I don’t expect any knick fan to jump on that bandwagon but the time Harden/Kyrie/Durant played together it was at a very very high level.
Most chips are not high probability unless your talking about a team that had just won and was mostly together or even improved. Does not take much imagination to lay good odds Lakers, Bulls, Celtics in their hayday REPEAT. Its damn hard to win a chip even with a super team. Miami won 2 of 4. As riley said “Its hard”.
They came. It never materialized.
As For Kyrie, he was a flake in Clev, and super charged one in Boston. It was one thing to trade for him, but as a free agent it was a good gamble talent wise. Again, his team loves him. But, he has to be on the floor and there in lies the rub. His anti vax and anti Semitic narrative took him to a new level of asshole. The though had to be if he came to BKN with Durant, he has skin in the game and bought in. I find his abilty to blame others and a public that buys into it very dangerous. Seems the end justifies the means for guys like Trump, others in the GOP, and for Kyrie.
Someone here bought a good point that Texas will love him cuz he is antiestablishment and they eat that shit up.
Look how the conservative sector backed brain dead Hershel Walker.
LIke I said, I don’t deny his rights to opinions, just his employment as a league representative.
