In 2026?
He's signed through the next 3 seasons.

What a game and what an addition Hart is. Elite role player.

Just wanted to answer this 1 question of yours (above).
The answer is yes.
Because his 1st game as a Knick was just a small sample size of who Josh Hart truly is and what type of style of play he's always played with.
• Extremely Efficient on Offense (FG% of +.500% throughout the previous 2 years) and went 50% from the field vs. Utah
• Relentless Defender (he's always been a Defensive Energizer) and we witnessed it with 4-5 steals vs. Utah.
• The best NBA Wing-Rebounder within the entire league (we witnessed him grab 19 boards against our Knicks earlier this year) and just watched him record 7 Rebounds vs. Utah.
• Playmaker for his teammates (he's averaged exactly 4.0 Assists throughout the previous 2 years ala 106 games) and we just watched him 1st hand go out there and put up 4 Assists during his NY debut vs. Utah.
• Excels in Transition and loves get out and run on the fast break (This year ranks #1 amongst all NBA Players in Transition Usage Rate @ over 33%) and during Utah we seen multiple examples of his style of play. Hit Obi Toppin for a fast break layup. Caught a Brunson assist and finished with a transition layup of his own and then hit one of his teammates for a made 3 in Transition etc.
All of those (5) examples are examples of who he is as a basketball player and/or what type of style he's always played with; he's as scrappy as they come and it dates back to Villanova too (he was the best overall player on their 1st Championship winning team and led them in both Points and Rebounds that year).
Josh Hart is an absolute STEAL @ the trade deadline

Some guys want to whine that the coach ain't playing them right. Other guys are like Phuck the coach, phuck the pace and Phuck the spacing. Imma impose my will on the game regardless!

Where are those haters who said that Hart would average 3 points and 6 turnovers, and make Thibs want to become a volleyball coach. Yeah thought so!

If all playing time were merit based - RJ really shouldn’t get off the bench.
He is absolutely BRUTAL on both sides of the floor.
Did anyone catch when he was subbed in mid 4th (I think) and Nets ran simple curl play for Bridges where he starts at left corner 3 and simply curls around screen at the 3 point line top of key. RJ was set a ready on D and still trailed Bridges by 3-4 full steps as Bridges took the ball and proceeded all the way down the lane and to the basket with RJ never making it into the play. Might as well just sit down.
Obi virtually invisible as well — might as well play Fournier who has at least proven he cares.

RJ needs someone to push him for minutes. Hasnt really had anyone all season. With Hart he does.
I think Olajuwon cant help players outside of the Rockets anymore with their post game. I remember Amare spending a few weeks with Hakeem, and he came back with what would eventually be a decent post game. Too bad Amare waited until his career was almost over, but it doesnt mean that Obi has to do the same.

Have to say guys like M Bridges, Cam Johnson, Finley-Smith, Wattanabbe don’t look quite as shiny when not playing off KD, Kyrie, Luka.
If Nets turned down 4 1sts for Bridges I’d love to see those protections

Lastly Jalen Brunson absolute surgical killer

Or better yet the Cam Reddish cheerleaders who destroyed Thibs for sticking him on the bench.
Looks like Cam Reddish only has 3 points (only 13 minutes of playing time while heading into the 4th Q) and only 1/7 from the field.
Looks like not even Chauncey Billups has trust to give Cam Reddish big time minutes; unlike Coach Thibs (who can't get enough of JOSH HART).

He's just sore from all those minutes his first game. Gotta give a man time to adjust!

BigDaddyG well done and Martin you beat me to it.
For the guys NOT playing this way it's between the ears. That being said it IS something that can be developed and honed and I think IQ is a great example of that

Feel like this Brunson signing has a chance to work out

Only worry with Brunson for me is hoping his body holds up for 4 or 5 years. Guy is SO MUCH better than I realized.

RJ isn't handling the pressure of Hart fighting him for his minutes. My guess is RJ will be 'injured' for the next game as his psyche needs to adjust.
