And will have a chance at going far in the playoffs.I think we get into rd 2 easily. I don’t see us getting by the fire power of the upper 4 twice. We have punchers chance to get to ecf.
Especially if Mitch gets back to beast mode
So you think we’ll play the Cavaliers or Sixers. I like our chances with against either team in a best of 7
Dont see anyone beating the healthy Bucks. Anyone else (including the Knicks) is capable of losing to them.

It’s looking like a two horse race between Milwaukee and Boston
I'd say Celts or Bucks come out of the East so avoiding them in a first round would be positive. But lots of basketball still to play and I see the Knicks still growing especially with the addition of Hart. Bring it!
If we get cavs I think we win in 6. I think JB will clap mitchell again and grimes will clutch up.
I wouldn't max us off @ only as a potential 5th seed.
The Philadelphia 76ers (current 3 seed) are on the verge of running into the NBA's #1 Most Difficult Strength of Schedule (SOS) throughout their final 26 Games (it's absolutely, brutal).
Which means as long as the Knicks not only continue our winning ways (4-1 Previous 5) but also go on an 8-12 game win streak? We'll have enough time to Hawk down both Cleveland and especially Philadelphia for those two 3/4 seeds.
Because once we get Tom Thibs Shot Blocker, Rim Protector and DEFENSIVE ANCHOR back? The Eastern Conference could be in for a worlds of trouble).
If its to be a first round exit to the Bucks or Celtics. Making one of those teams really earn that series, is something to build on. Advancing is better, but this would be a positive as well.

Celtics (1) vs. Hawks (8).
Milwaukee (2) vs. Brooklyn (7).
Philadelphia (3) vs. Heat (6).
Cleveland (4) vs. NY Knicks (5).
I dream of the 3rd seed etc but this is why I want either the 4th or 5th seed so bad.
Because I already know once we get Mitchell Robinson back?
The Cleveland Cavaliers aren't going to want anything to do with us 1st round.

Cavs have an easy post all star schedule and the Knicks have a brutal 5 game stretch against Western Conference super powers. The key will be those 3 Miami games and keeping our fingers crossed that the Nets are closer to yesterday's second half team the Knicks beat and not the first half team that was all we could handle.
It's really too early to tell outside of the top two seeds. Every game is important. Lottery odds from the 5-7 spots drop off considerably (5 has a 10.5% chance while 7 had a 6% chance at the top spot) and from 9 to 10 (6 vs 2.2) Having a 1 in 10 vs in 17 chance or 1 in 17 vs 1 in 50 chance at Wembanyama (or slightly better at him or Scoot) is a huge difference maker. The NBA has been pretty tank free for most of the season considering the quality of the draft. We can't get myopic about it and just consider the Knicks schedule. They tank teams play other playoff teams as well!
