I can't remember how exactly it went because I'm 37 and been over 25 years since I watched the documentary in middle school but in NCAA basketball? Teams with any black kids weren't allowed in the Tournament. So the NCAA gave them 1 opportunity. An all black tournament. Only 1 winner. And that 1 winner got to enter the real tournament vs the all white schools. Let's just say the team with the black kids who won? Went onto beat the living crap out of those all white schools. And history was made moving forward.
PS: I'm white (50% Irish 50% Italian) but I have no white pride and still makes me sick to know the truth of how blacks were (and sometimes still are) by the hands of racists.
