Fans too were questioning the price and of course if it would prevent us from getting a "Star".
Go back to the moment, Knicks came off a rough season and fans wanted the big name. We always want the big name. We still talk about getting a "Star". Media knows it and plays us. So when Jalen came about they played us to get angry. No fun to be logical and say "lets see how it plays out". Media don't get ratings or eyeballs for that.
Im sure we all happy if not thrilled how it turned out but we changed our tune, and so has so many of those talking heads as his play ascended and the team winning.
Truth is we doing very well without IQ or RJ. Same for Randle.
The only one that gets to really stick their nose up is Leon and JB himself. They stuck their necks out. They and the bing bongers can stick the chests out. Bing Bongers do it all the time anyway when things go right.
Fans have no accountability. We get to point fingers at those who "doubted". They are paid to "doubt" and make waves.
And many of them have said they were wrong. As have many of us.
I don't recall being negative but also was not dancing in the streets thinking our Savior had finally arrived either.
I just recall being happy we would not pay the high price to get DM and we no doubt improved the position.
What Leon has done is avoid the starphuch/savior thing which quite frankly is beyond most fans who crave that.

I know fans want to take credit for "calling it" but nobody saw how we got here. We hoped for it, but that's a different story.
Im enjoying this season. Even last nights loss to the thunder was great drama! Sure it hurt, but it took a hell of a shot by SGA.
Knicks had a lead with 4.8 seconds left. missed foul shots and all, we had the lead and we a great defending team.
They got us this time.

Brunson is the toast of the NBA and now getting commercials with his wife! He is the Star with no Phuch!!!!!

At this point, I'm hoping OG comes back for the entire playoffs, and that Precious keeps finding ways to contribute. We can make some noise.

I have a feeling Randle will be MIA the rest of the way, or play a few minutes here and there in the postseason, at most. Hopefully he surprises all of us.
