I feel that to get the full emotion of this video just right you may need to have a large glass of wine, get that bath water temp and bubbles just right, invite some company and slide right in, relax, sip, and enjoy. No better way. Alpha got his own plans and there are levels to this.

Bro gotta bring back the mullet though, just sayin

I feel this is darkest timeline Thibs. The timeline where Brunson re-signs with Dallas, the Knicks signs KP to the max extension and Rebecca left Wally for Martin.

I blacked out for a moment, what just happened?

F***ing treasure.

Underrated.

We all know that Julius will get things right if it is humanly possible.

September, we enthusiasm in the air and we can talk ourselves into all kinds of goodness.
I'll roll with who we got because the faith in our FO.
But I won't say Sims or Precious are "under rated". No. They have to prove the roles. Precious after a bad start bought into Thibs and he might have found his peace and a role in the NBA. Sims? He showed some moves last season. For that matter so did Mitch!! Few times Mitch showed a handle and got to the rim! Sims has the fluidity, he needs to know when to do it. On defense? Lets say a man brain develops until about 25. years old. Lets hope he figures the defensive schematics out by now.

As said by Martin, Leon won't panic. Long way until we do that or pay up if we truly contending.

Sims hasn’t done much to inspire confidence.

I hope we see a big improvement in the next few months… I think it’s the only way Deuce remains a Knick.

Last year, Sims didn't play very well but the year before he was playing ok considering his minutes.

2023-24:
13 minutes
2 pts
66% FT
3,3 rebounds
half a block

2022-23:
15 minutes
3,4 pts
75% FT
almost 5 rebounds
half a block

Truth is, we don't really need him to score. Just set good screens, be a lob threat, rebound and protect the rim a bit against opponents subs.
If we get the sims version of 2022/23, we're good. I'm optimistic regarding this kid. The physical tools are there, I just hope he matured a bit and won't foul as much. Plus his defensive box/plus minus is better than achiuwa.

It's the Deuce method of development and contract extension timing. Knicks FO need Sims to give us a better hint of what he got for 20 games and then Leon will sign him to a ridiculously low, descending 3 year extension and we will all sit here a year from now making up ridiculous Sims for Kessler+picks swaps. I'll lead the way, don't you worry.

Book it!

I am kind of here. Sims is a wildcard for me. I think Deuce showed a bit more before he earned his rotation position, but the reports of injury are actually explanatory.

Sims started with all the biometrics and athleticism but very little skill. That 7'4 wingspan and 44 inch vertical is obscene.

I actually love the idea of putting him on stretch 3s. He has the footspeed to guard out to the 3point line while staying in front of his man. Need him to move without the ball and pass well. Everything else can keep coming with practice. I have no idea if he is ready though.

The camp battle between Precious and Sims is going to be interesting. I think Precious also has tremendous upside and I love his fiery temperament as a stark contrast to Sims' stoic demeanor. I just haven't seen much of Sims lately to make a guess as to which is higher up in the rotation. I think this will be the largest battle coming into camp.

Nalod @ 9/26/2024 10:38 AM
Simms need not worry about guarding stretch threes unless he is switched. If OG is on it, the big won't have much advantage.
With Elite wings on defense Im not concerned with Sims venturing out picking up dumb fouls. Randle is a very capable defender when he needs to be. 6-8 with a 7 foot span, good foot speed and should be less dependent on his offense this year.

Jules can do many things. Scoring gets you paid. Once again, what is his role?

I typo'd. Meant stretch 5s like the Zinger.

I'm down with this. Precious and Sims should have some good battles and I'm hopeful for both.
