He an Kolek are like the same age! LOL. Good for him and while the article said little perhaps its time his rights get traded to at team that might want to give him an opportunity. Maybe we throw in his rights in a trade to a team that might want to take a flier on him. I don't blame him for wanting to not do summer league. He has shown what he can do and if he has better security in Europe and enjoying the team then why mess it up? Knicks gotta do what they fell is right for team and perhaps he had an opportunity to make the team but without a guarantee of some sort he gets hurt, he gets buried.

We used a pretty good 2nd rounder on Rokas...has been an interesting experience. Would like to turn him into something useful for us at some point rather than let him play overseas for years without a chance to recoup an asset back. Think that time is running out.

That little kick? It propelled him to a great career and eventual HOF just last year! While he was an allstar just once he had nice career before he got to NY but won two chips with knicks before he retired.
HIs veterans nomination and inclusion to HOF in 2024 was largely based on prominence at Tennessee A&I University, where he led the Tigers to three straight NAIA national championships (1957-59), the first historically black school to claim a men’s basketball title.
He was a starting guard next to Clyde in the 1970 season and off the bench in 1973. He had a 9 year career with knicks that started at age 29! The 1973 team he avg just 10 min of play over 51 games. By then Dean Meminger was a key role player off the bench. Good NBA player, Great knick! He played just 5 games the next year and retired.
His jersey was retired in 1990.

Whenever you don't know a Knicks trivia, answer is usually Dick Barnett or Richie Guerin.

Your right. Guerin put up some sick numbers in his day.

I read just how bad for years now knicks don't close out series at home very well. Time to change that shit!

So glad that he got the chance to experience entering the hall of fame before passing on! Plus his college honored him not too long ago also. R.I.P. Dr. Barnett!!

he's absolutely one if not THE best finishers in the league. We are so lucky to have him. It's always about winning and elevating his teammates. Straight up super star.

We are learning that ESPN does not hate the knicks. They just had nothing to love. When we did something stupid or tried to starphuch the faithful, they pushed back. WE did not like it but they were mostly right.
Hope some of the grumpy are enjoying these days. I want a chip as much as anyone but anyone can blow and ACL or Achilles and the era can end. Good times. Aint' we happy we got them.........
