thats horrendous. i assume we wont be wearing blue unis
I like the different looks and they do look different in person and on TV. Some really show players better detail on the TV.
Some hit, some miss for sure.
Liberty had some weird grayish tone on their court with the teal color and it really looked good in play.
https://www.ultimateknicks.com/outerlink...I have read all of Phils books and don't recall anyone accusing him of innacuracy. Granted, he offers opinions and look back at what happend. PHil is not universally liked which is understandable. Melo might not like what he said but we kind of all saw it either in NY or Denver. Then we saw fatmelo and eventually he was traded, then not so great ending to his career UNTIL he got hold of his ego, got in shape and finished well in Portland much to his credit. I was happy to see that as he was never in doubt enroute to HOF.
I know George Karl is/was an abrasive personality but he has a long HOF as 6th winning all time. Hey, one can be a dick and still be an all time great! Melo's talent was never a question. In his pro career the list of coaches he frustrated is not short. Personally I never held Melo as the reason we were never to contend. The Roster and assets were thin in the aftermath of his trade here, MDA never had his proper PG. Felton did have a good short run but he was not enough. Phil's hire of Fisher was awful and by the time Hornacek was here the roster was never right and while the triangle might have been antiquated by then, we did not have the right guys running it.
PHil never coached a chip winnig team without eitehr Kobe or Jordan. Kobe and Jordan never won a chip with another coach either.
Its fair to say Melo in his pro career was selfish. It carried him to great wealth and a storied career. That is no easy feat by any stretch but we all saw what we saw.
At some point I'll read Phils book one day. I encourage them because as arrogant as he can be he is also self deprecating on his mistakes and owns them. He defends his opionion from his perspective. I thoguht is takes on Kobe was fascinationg and how he could not keep him and Shaq on the same page.
We had sleepy Phil and Fat Melo.
I liked Melo's HOF speech. The tinted eye glasses was special.
Hope his kid can make a career in the NBA. Not easy for these kids as there is such a fine line of talent at the top its not easy and the spotlight can be a burden. Coming from a privileged upbringing has its advantages but maybe not the savage hunger to succeed? We'll see. Some got or enough talent to make it.
Steve Novak now back up for Clyde on MSG. Reading this morning that Crawford is doing NBC broadcasts.
Novak Got paid by us and eventually made 21mil in the nba in the back half of his 11 year NBA career. He played 132 games for us over two years 2011-2013.
I was suprised to read he is now 42 years old and retired after the 2017 season at age 33. Why? Isn't Luke Kornet and him the same guy?
Luke was a rook with us 2017-2019 and played just 66 games. Then 5 years in Boston after a brief stint with the bulls. he bounced a bit but returned to the Celtics on a three yaer 6mm deal. With Spurs, he in year two of a 4 year deal paying 40mil! year three is a partial guarantee and it has a team option in year 4.
Time flies!!!
