Maybe he can come teach Mitch some things…

P.S. - Better with the volume lowered, IMO.

Who cares? Fuck 'em all. They turned it around without those cowards. They need one big time dog. I don't know who it is, but I want the hardest working, hardest self motivating all NBA player available.

Did we ever replace Kenny Payne as a big man coach? I think Ewing would be good assistant to have but something tells me he wouldn't want to come back here in that role.

Maybe he just is not a great coach? He has done well as an assistant.
We offered him Gleague a while back and he declined.
Nobody but GTown gave him a head gig. College game is tougher now and John Thompson glory years were very long ago.
Tough shoes to fill and it was in a different era.
Patrick was a great player. Imparting that on others is not like mentoring. And, great players are not always good at coaching or mentoring.
Kenny Payne did great here and is having a hard time in Louiville. Like epically bad. Granted, much to do with the house cleaning and recruiting issues over the last few years than his coaching.
He recruited well for Kentucky for years and perhaps he can get it going again.
Ewing did not get the players to Georgetown or coach at a high level. Give him benefit of the doubt that perhaps it was the recruiting.
Not sure we have a "big man coach", but we have coaches.

Its a tenuous career. Thibs was likley on the hot seat in December and his desperation moves to shorten the rotation worked.
Trade for JHart propelled them to one of the better stories in the NBA.
If knicks can finish top 6 seed in east he should get some 2nd or third place votes for COTY.
Its hard to fathom but fizzle ending to play in would be seen as a disappointment given the reach to 5th seed and knocking on the door at 4th.

I really though RJ would be taller by now.

Swiped from another thread. I don't care if we lose 20 straight. This guy belongs in NY...

Good golly.
