NEW YORK, March 8, 2023 – The New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed center Moses Brown to a two-way contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

I think this guy claim to fame is having his had lifted up.

Seems the guy had some pretty decent stats for the Thunder a few years back.

Looks like the FO has been building the next SL roster.

Just in time for Passover!!!!
Can we claim anyone named “Elijah” off waivers too?
He’d be ineligible for playoffs, if he in fact showed up.

I was passive aggressively pointing out that the thread incorrectly names him Morris and not Moses. Kind of unfair for our newest Knick.

I can't change the title, my mistake.

It is very interesting to me that the Knicks would bring in yet another big when they already got 3. Could be nothing, could be something.

Moses comes great expectations. If he can part the Red Sea and free the Israelites from slavery, he can at least be a servicable back up!

Now we start with "rumor is Thibs is not an Ihart fan".

Maybe Mitch is the one traded and we make a deal for another center and Ihart is still back up?
We can do this all day.
What is a "real 2k insider" as the tweeter call himself?

For me, I just found the thought process interesting. I don't really take the Insider stuff to heart or put any emphasis on it.

Embiib is going to be a target for every team if things shake up in Philly, and there are enough rumblings there that teams should be doing all of their due diligence and start planning for it. I do think Moses could be part of that thinking.

The Knicks do have a perfect return for Embiib on their roster, lots of combinations of that. Moses Brown helps out with those scenarios.

Or maybe it's just nothing.

Moses is great Remember that Jesus Saves, but but Moses invests.
Alpha1971 @ 3/9/2023 12:26 PM
The Knicks have a Moses, Isiah, Obadiah, Jericho,Immanuel, Hebrew Scriptures
Figures present. Only need a Elijah, Daniel, Joseph, and Abraham. Maybe an Ezekiel
EwingsGlass @ 3/9/2023 12:38 PM
Wasn’t really on my radar but the MitchRob insurance makes sense. 7’2. 7’5 wingspan. In highlights, looks like he has slightly better shooting ability than Mitch. But not by much. Seems to box out but could use some work getting down. Getting to his spots.

In the simplest terms, seems like a big body. At the very least, he’s practice fodder for MRob. Likely, we have another body if one of our bigs go down. At best, we have another look to throw at small ball teams lacking an NBA big.

martin @ 3/9/2023 12:56 PM
huh

2 Way contract players:

- They are players that can play NBA games and G league games at the same time.
- They can only be active up to 50 regular season NBA games
- They can not play playoff games.
- They can not be traded.
- They have to be under 4 year NBA experience.

Not sure the position of the 15th man is really a thing.

I think this is the NBA 15th man version of the BPA. They might see something they like and want a closer look.

I wouldn't conclude it has anything to do with the Knicks roster specifically. Definitely not this year, but probably not even next year.

Chandler @ 3/9/2023 3:43 PM
I saw him play a few times and he looked good

that said, completely perplexed by it.

my best guess is they wanted someone like him for practices

HofstraBBall @ 3/9/2023 4:13 PM
Like it. He is the second best 7'2" guy to come out of UCLA.
