The 8th seed is the Hawks, who are a game under .500 at 34-35.

Knicks can lose their remaining 11 games and would be better than Hawks at 8th seed percentage-wise right now

Two things here:

1. Knicks are too talented to finish with the 12th pick. The logic escapes me how they qualify for it.
