Reminds me a lot of Antonio mcdyess who was a 2 pick back then
I don’t know Briggs — watched T-Jackson for 1st time last night and while he’s a big dude with great strength his game seems limited to me. Reminds me more of Bagley with his all left hand game around the rim and everything is a baby or 1/2 jump hook shot.
McDyss could shoot foul line extended and had a nasty post up turn around jump shot plus he was shot out of a cannon around the basket. Could also move his feet — not sure I see that fro T-Jackson.
Going to be interesting to see how T-Jackson fits in NBA. Could he play like Sabonis? Does he have ball handling/ passing skill?

He’s gonna be an nba all star center
This is the player Knicks need
An athletic sabonis type who also rim protects w tier 1 athletic ability. Really he’s gonna be a top 5 player from this draft. Battle tested mature ready to contribute from day 1. One tweak from m Rob and we’re done. Jackson davis is short/ long term needed insurance
Already 23 years old - 3-4 years older vs many kids he’s going against.
If he were so talented why wasn’t he in the draft at 18, 19, 20, 21 or 22.
On 3/8 Wasserman who pays attention to the draft had him going 35
In late Dec-22 ESPN 2-round mock TJD was un-drafted and your guy Z EDY WAS #58

I like Jackson for us not edey. Jackson is the most skilled big in the draft.

I agree but it says nothing because college bigs suck.

Stop. This reminds me of your love affair with Frank the Tank.
TJD is not Sabonis...full stop. He's an athletic C/PF (6'8" - 6'9" which would be undersized in the NBA) who's active on the defensive side, works very effectively and with agility in the post on offense and on defense as a rim protector but who also has no outside game beyond 5-7 feet. While he is able to move the ball - he by no means is a superior passer nor shooter from range like Sabonis. TJD has only taken 3 shots from beyond the arc in his entire college career. He's a 4 year college player and at 23 older than RJ, Grimes and McBride and only a year younger than Mitch and I-Hart. As the NBA continues to evolve away from low post big men - I'm not sure why you feel that translates into a Top 5 player in the draft when he's projected to go in the late First / early 2nd round.

He has superior skills and tier 1 athletic ability. He’s a long powerful 6-9 and plays big. When do yourember a prospect avg
21 points 11 rebounds 4 assists 3 blocks? He’s gonna be a terror with added space in the nba for the right team. Think John Collins/ mcdyess/ sabonis mix. I know he’s not going to be pick 5. But I personally think he will be a top player and ready to contribute immediately from this draft. Again we lose mitch we don’t have enough talent left at 5.

How many back-up centers who can't shoot from range are you planning on carrying on the Knicks roster?
PS.....Obi Toppin - college player of the year, superior athletic ability, ran the floor....20 ppg / 7.5 rebounds / 2.2 assists / close to .400 3pt%, close to .700 2pt%, .700 FT%.
I use my FRP to take a chance on a long wing. Position of need.

I’m not sure how u compare obi Toppin and Jackson. I’m just looking for bpa not interested in positional. Unless Taylor Hendricks or Brandon miller fall out of the draft I’m a fans of tjd. I do not think I’d be drafting a back up. I’d feel like I’m getting a high end impact nba player at center

Briggs - at 6-8, this guy is not a center. Full stop. he's Sweetney waiting to happen.
