Trading IQ plus an entire package of other assets and picks to the Celtics would be so Knick-like. Lol

At least when we were offering Ainge the farm for Mitchell the players we would have sent were going out of conference plus Mitchell is better than Jaylen Brown

Not advocating for a trade much less a specific trade package, but with Brunson in the fold, Brown may not be a better player than Mitchell, right now he fills a bigger need than Mitchell. He fits THIS Knicks team better than Mitchell.

I'm not an "RJ sucks" vortex guy. I tend to try to pull guys out of the vortex. I'm good with him on the Knicks for the foreseeable future. But I also recognize his lack of efficiency is the most obvious area THIS version of the Knicks would greatly benefit from.

Nobody has proposed a trade, so I can't comment on its effect on the Knicks in its totality. But right now I'd have to consider a swap of Brown's production with Barrett's at the 3 to be a significant upgrade.

Brown at the 2 would be very very good. They have to get bounced early and he has to want to leave.
not worth the trouble to package a deal and argue it here.
I give them IQ, EF, 2 first round picks, and Rokas. Any more I hang up. IM not paying him super max if he all NBA. I'll take a pass.

I just wrote up a thread “crossroads” that discuss this. At the very least we have until summer of 24 to really decide. We almost need a consolidation type trade but we are dealing from a position of strength.
Boston is a title contender on paper and in a league with parity and not “It” team despite their recent struggles they still are valid as such.
Teams like Miami can very much disrupt the bucks and Boston in an earlier round. Winning a chip is not getting depleted by injuries along the way. Miami takes one of them to 7 games and even if not prevailing, wear them out in the process.

I would like Siakam or jalen brown.if the knicks can somehow leave IQ, Grimes Randle and Brunson off the package, the knicks can start contending. I think the fit of either of these two would be good. I think the starting SF is the piece Leon and company should look for when hunting a superstar.

IQ isn’t going anywhere. He’s got more upside than any other knick and it’s coming to fruition right before our eyes. And last I checked two dynamic guards can co-exist especially when IQ is more a combo guard anyway. Any one talking about dealing IQ should be put in timeout. For the love of everything holy just stop. Guy plays defense, has range from anywhere on the court and can run the offense. Last time the Knicks had two big time talents at lead guard they fuct it all up and let them both get away. First they drank the stupid juice, thought deeply on how stupid they can be and traded Rod Strickland for Maurice cheeks, who literally had 3 months of nba play left in him. Then they traded mark jackson away a couple years later.

Let’s keep both guards this time. Thanks in advance.

From a Knick fan and Knick management perspective, it makes sense to keep IQ, Brunson, RJ and Grimes. From IQ's perspective, why would I want to be a career 6th man without ever getting an opportunity to be a consistent starter? Not only that, but as a starter, I have a greater chance increase my numbers and make more money.
