I’d love to see it happen but no way

indeed. I'm kind of pulling for this. It would be a ferocious game 7 too
Maybe baseball is on.

This is why you can't just run it back. We are further than expected but to take the next step Randle or RJ has to go for a better fitting player.
This team went pretty far shooting bricks. So 4 teams were better and none of them are lighting the world on fire with their 3 pt%. Maybe quoting random unnamed execs isn’t really a thing

How about this take which is more down the middle.
Knicks were pretty darn good this past season. IF, if the Knicks want to solidly take the next step and be considered one of the top 4-6 teams in the league, they definitely have to address the above.
It certainly doesn't have to be for next season, but it will need to be addressed, whether those players get better or they trade/upgrade them for better fit.

This team reminds me of the DeRozan/Lowry Raptors, right down to the moody primary scorer who's still trying to figure it out in post season. Patience is what enivatably helped that team win a title. It's tempting to want to make an immediate change that will magically lead this team to the title, but that's not how it works. The FO, which has done a d event job of this outside of Kemba/Fournier, needs to keep it's options until the right guys becomes available. Guys like Kat or Lavine aren't getting it done IMHO. At least at their current prices. Running it back might be the best choice right now. I think this team is close, but I just don't see that magic pill out there at point in time.

100% agreed with what you are saying.
Regarding the bolded: I think the Knicks will make upgrades if it doesn't cost them too much (and that's a very big grey area), we saw this in the Donovan negotiations.
I think things will point to the 2025 offseason as the next best way to nap that last piece; it's when a lot of free agents have opt outs and the Knicks are in a decent'ish position with their salary cap.
I think we will get more hints as to how and what the FO is thinking with the IQ/Josh Hart extensions, ie how big they are.
IMO next year will be another big test for each of the players and how they perform and it'll point to if they keep those players or not long term or if they will be moved. Brunson ain't going nowhere but Randle/RJ as your top 3 options are very very iffy. Not that they aren't really good, but are they consistently good enough for EC Finals level and beyond.

LOL, Granted, its our job as fans to be insatiable and unforgiving clarvoyants with all the answers like "We need a star!"
Don't have to say who or how!
We get one we all like "Yep, thats what I said!"
We don't and no chip its: "Told use"!

I don't begin to understand what you are saying. Is this the equivalent response of "RJ is only 22"?

This is pretty much my exact feelings. We have to fix the problem but I am not just giving away Randle for pennies. So I don't want us to go into the season thinking that running it back is the best action but if nothing good presents it self running it back might be the best option for this offseason.

We totally agree on the bolded part. My problem is not going into the offseason with the mentality that we need to run this back. Running it back might be the best option depending on how things turn out but we need to be looking for better fitting parts.

this was really funny. i have experienced this many time with Nalod's musings. if you're old enough to remember "My Dinner with Andre'" it will give flashbacks
Nalod, or Martin, PhilC, Clean, and the rest of the faithful did not create this. It was Leon and Company. Did shit the last few years we did not fathom. They perfect? Of course not.
But I agree with all that if an opportunity makes sense they will do it to advance the team. Sense of urgency? Not sure where to put this.

No worries. Spo is a genius. That 20 point lead should disappear any time now!

Yeah... Into game 6.
Lots of iso and kick outs? LOL.
Boston found something.
Mazzulla short answers are robotic. Dude is a trip.

I'll live and accept it cause it's Miami.
But cHeat will win the next game. They have to. Can't bet against Spoelstra and Butler.
