Grimes. Even when he's not involved in the offense he's a floor spacer and top flight defender. Every minute you get from him is time spent harassing DM or Garland and that's a plus. Keep Hart fresh for late.
I still like Hart coming off the bench and closing. He is an injection of energy. Grimes is our best shooter and a top defender, he deserves to keep starting.

That's the biggest thing for me. Your bench gets a BIG push, energy guy.
Man, Hart is freaking fantastic!
Starks2.0 cause he actually makes his shots!
I guess for now this is an ode to Barrett that it’s no longer an option to bench him.
That being said, Josh Hart was born a Knick. He just took a while to get here.
I'd start Hart if Grimes is still sore. Looks like we have a very good chance of advancing. Id rather see Hart and Obi get the bulk of the minutes in game 5. No point in giving Randle and Grimes major minutes, if we're getting it done without them.
More important that they be rested for the next round. Time to rehab their injuries.
Hart is going to get a huge contract from the Knicks. He’s been an elite role player with star impact.

That was just Briggs doing the reverse thing again

+100
I'd stick with Grimes if he's healthy, just to keep the rotation kind of normal. Grimes was always positioned as the token starter with the quick leash, but overdelivered in that role. Let's not disrupt the game plan unless driven by injury.
Thibs goes with who is finishing and grimes is part of the future then continue when he is healthy.
Josh is inhaling lose balls. If he can only stop just a bit whining after each drive he’d be even better.
Not complaining. Wears his “Hart” on his sleeve!
I love that Thibs sat Randle and Obi finished as he did. Not gonna happen all the time but When Jules has the Fuck face thing going and Obi give the team what it needs thats cool.
Playoff ball and winning, all that matters.
Grimes still gets the next start. Unless he continues to bricklay when he gets back
Bench is a huge strength so I'd still start Grimes and bring Hart off the bench.
Just to play devil's advocate - everyone saying bring Hart off the bench for his energy...who WOULDN'T be bringing energy off the bench out of Deuce/IQ/Grimes/Obi/IHart?
That said - I agree with the mob, start Grimes until it's broken!

For this series, unless Grimes is hurt, agree on that.
The next round (if we get there) is another matter. I would hope Thibs looks at the matchup, how players fared in the first round, and work from there.
There is an argument for it. I think Grimes might actually develop a little faster in that second unit.
Brunson/Hart/Barrett/Randle/Robinson
McBride/IQ/Grimes/Toppin/Hart
Its the same argument for why Barrett might improve in the second unit. There is more floor spacing in the second unit with Hart outside.
Because Grimes has the better three point shooting (allegedly), I think that controls who plays where until the Knicks starting lineup finds its stroke from three.

Going forward thru the series? PLayoffs, or next season?
If series, Depends on where his shoulder is at. If he is 100%, start him. If he hits his shots and defensive assignments, he stays.
last 6 min? I'd say go with who is going good. If StarJay is not so bright, sit him as we have.
Same for Josh if he got thing going.
Next series? Shit, leave that up to Thibs. Who is banged up and matchups matter.
Lets get there first!!!!

Of course it is up to Thibs. But unless he weighs in here on UK, its a boring thread if we don't put in our 2 cents.
There is nothing to discuss while Grimes is injured. After that, there is an argument to let Hart run.
I'm not hard set on one over the other. But Hart has been doing so much on the court, I'm happy for him to see extended minutes.
Grimes was a bit cold in his minutes. I'd stick with what is working for now.
It honestly doesnt matter- Hart is gonna play starters minutes the rest of the playoffs. Grimes will play more if he starts the games shooting well, otherwise he'll play a bit role.
IQ is not even getting anywhere close to the mins he was getting in the 2nd half of the season. Once upon a time the question was should IQ start over Grimes.
