Shout out to Randle. We don't win this game without him.
LivingLegend @ 5/2/2023 10:47 PM
Thank you Hart & Hart for showing the rest of these guys what playoff effort look like.

This Heat team is like a bunch of hyenas that just won’t go away - blanking Vincent, Robinson, Martin & Strus all shooting like Steph Curry and many of our guys our hiding from the rock.

Mitch was bad tonight and has been bad both games - sorry Mitch lovers. Obi and IQ also bad. Grimes at least played solid D.

RJ great offensively early today and Brunson very good with some sloppy stuff. Jules solid decision making but his D is lazy at key points.

IQ - were you at?

Crossed my mind Heat maybe easier to defend with Jimmy — if we make Jimmy get 40 one-one.

I'd love to have him on the team right now. We might be up 2-0 in this series.

Same here. Went out to get some dumplings and wonton soup. Came back to this. Now I can sleep peacefully.

Sounds a lot like dumplings and dumplings. You must really like dumplings.

A place by me added steamed wontons in garlic sauce to their menu. Chili flakes in the sauce. I’m pretty sure I could eat them until my heart exploded. And then maybe a few more.

I just needed something soft. I caught a bug yesterday and wasn't sure how my stomach would react today. The Knicks definitely weren't helping, but I made it through... like a champ. I hope Thibs tells my story to the locker room tomorrow to give them inspiration and give the guys a lesson on perseverance.

If Quick is only going to get 9 mins — would prefer to see some Deuce

I agree but he’d probably come here and shoot 25% like the rest of us.

Damn - I figured he fouled out — what was Thibs thinking there….Mitchy was a Snitchy tonight

His boneheaded inbounds play may call that judgement into question.

I just posted he made good decisions today - forgot about the foot fault….oh man was that worrisome and something only Jules could do at that moment.

Love this team but again we don’t stand a chance unless quickley and grimes have some impact offensively. Considering what guys like Vincent and Martin are doing, it’s not asking a lot.

IQ + Grimes, not 1 3pt between them.

And Obi firing heat seeking missiles all over the court - then looking at his hands.

Sure I'll see what I can do.

Maybe the Alba thread would inspire her.

LOL thats the same thing I did. When ever I'm watching they start loosing so then I turn it off and when I turn it back on they are doing better or regained the lead. superstitious

To be fair, the Knicks are kind of an average team at home.

They play tight under the pressure of our passionate fans. Home court advantage is the kiss of death for us. It’ll be the death of us if we have to face the Lakers or Warriors. :)

Philly/Celtics, no prob, no hca.

We dodged a major bullet and the Heat lost a game they played well enough to win.
Doesn’t really matter.

We’re in the series now, 1-1 works. We can all sleep well after a stressful game.

Next game I’m hoping the Knicks find a way to get more output from Grimes/Quickley.

Lots of inexplicable stuff in the statline. We had our top 3 guys go for over 24. Hart and Randle both nearly got triple doubles. We out rebounded them by double digits. Went to the line 13 more times. We shot the ball similarly - made a similar amount of 3s. And we barely won against the Heat without Butler and Herro.

Heat played 90s Fratello Cavs style. Ground down the clock, dont turn it over, stuff the paint. Shoot late in the clock and dont give up fast breaks. Almost executed perfectly.

Great summary in that 2nd paragraph and agree some crazy stats that don’t seem to jive.

The 2 things that stood out to me blatantly tonight were how they attempted to guard Brunson on the wing perimeter tonight with a trio (triangle) of players. Brunson surprisingly was able to do damage and yes the complete collapsing of the paint. I don’t get how we are in the playoffs and still can’t get a player to the foul line area against the zone…like grade school offense against the zone.

Yep - think Heat went up 6 or 8 in early 4th and they completely had control. Thought extra shots Hart/Hart got us was biggest plus.

Its wild - you knew they had to run the offense through Bam tonight and they had to shoot 3s. And in the first 2 mins Mitch has 2 fouls and we leave them open for 3 multiple times.

It was one of those nights though. I was at the game - we enter the arena and ticket scanners were down. I turn to my buddy and say "its gonna be that kinda night." The scanners started working about 30 seconds before there was gonna be a riot.

Mitch doesn’t fair well against Bam in my opinion because 1) Bam is physical and 2) smart but mostly because Bam pulls him out of his comfort zone and really isn’t trying to go thru Mitch but he wants to hit the pull up or turnaround before he gets to Mitch. Also Bam sets hard screens- legit hard that lead to indecision with Mitch. By big issue with Mitch has always been offensive skill and intelligent play — some players really expose him. He got sloppy and in foul trouble right out of the gate.

Scanner issue when you want to get your ass into big game does sound riot worthy.
