We saw this coming. It’s ashame this change happened now. Thibs so damn reactive. It was clear from the first game hart started it was a bad mix. It only took 3 games and being down 2-1 to realize this. Let’s hope this lights a fire under grimes since he’s now starting again, in a position to be the savior and he’s going to get even more mins with IQ out.

And I disagree with Martin on going after butler. We go after him like the heat goes after Brunson. Not one on one plays, I agree with Martin that disrupts the offensive flow. But whoever butler is guarding should be setting picks all day. Force him to read react and potentially tweek his ankle again.

But glad to see grimes back in the starting lineup and hart / RJ with Obi steaking, that second unit should be fun to watch again. Will deuce get any PT today? I want to see deuce on lowery. Will be good for deuce. Lowery is strong and savy.

Step one is good. We got Grimes starting. Now we need to actually run plays to get him in rhythm. Just standing in the corner while brunson and Randle take turns ISOing is not good enough.

^ Deuce replacing IQ going to make a bigger difference than Grimes starting IMO.

I'm still skeptical on taking Hart out of the SL too...I get the arguments on synergy, but Hart has been our most consistent player in making things happen. He's been our hustle guy coming off a game the Knicks got severely out hustled. Grimes hasn't brought the shooting in the playoffs to beat him out. But...we needed to do something. Hopefully today's his playoff break out!

But talking about a jolt of energy - Deuce can absolutely help, whether that shot is falling or not. We got forced into this one, but looking forward to this shake up if we have to try something new!
