We play 4-5 on offense. Effects spacing. Because adebayo can score inside their perimeter players get better spacing
Adebayo is a star. Has been for years.

Without a true superstar. One of our centers needs to be able to score. No way to win 4/5. Our guys played good. We lost tonight because of rebounding and huge net differentiatial at the 5 position
Anyone can do this
Go look at the net differential from the 5 position the last two games
I thought we needed a jump shooting center? Bam is anything but, yet he creates spacing?
If there is one thing I would like is maybe add some offensive coaching- both individual and team.
RJ has to be able to shoot 40% from 3pt.
Otherwise - how about getting a team like GS or the Clippers who might look to tear things down a bit - and getting an older good player like a Klay Thompson or Kahwi.
Again - we don't have to move Robinson or iHart to improve- improvement can come elsewhere.
Would be nice to have a skilled big next to I-Hart.
But you know if we brought Vucevic in here our D would implode — particularly with Julius in LaLa land defensively.
Same thing - you could get KAT and what happens defensively?
Wish Mitch would just set hard screens, not fumble the ball away and never shoot a FT —— but those things aren’t happening.
Brook Lopez sure would be nice with his jump defensively and long range shooting.
"Adebayo is so hot right now."
If Philly finishes off celtics--you have common denominator
C Lakers A davis
C Sixers Embiid
C Heat Adebayo
C Denver Jokic
He is killing us because their perimeter players keeps beating our perimeter players to the rim. Mitch keeps helping and nobody is rotating to cover bam

He is killing them because he is a sane version of Randle. He plays D, is physical, he can score, he seems he knows his limitations and doesn't step outside of them. Bam is only 6-9 at center as is banging dudes around. He is a real throwback type of player that is making it work in in the modern NBA.

I think the common denominator is teams with current or recent MVPs.
Embid, Jokic, Harden, Lebron.
And the Heat are there to remind us that we should have given Riley the promotion and ownership stake he wanted.
Adebayo is an All-Star for a reason. He kills a lot of teams.
Am I wrong--our centers are making us play 4-5 and not stopping adebayo

Without scoring from Grimes its 3 on 5. We're lucky to have it so close. Brunson is playing like he's worth twice his paycheck.

We need an upgrade at SG.
But we also need another JB type player. Ice in their veins and able to excel under pressure.

Good point Briggs
Aside from Coach Erik and Guard Kyle Lowry and Butler, Adebayo is a wrecker
he's a semi polished version of Oakley more talented never tires, Disrupts the other team & Can knock down jumper OR Dunk off rebounds, simply said.
Hate the dude but gotta love and respect his game

The heat play better NY ball then we do. To love the 90’s was to love Riley and that culture.
I wish Mitch could catch a pass or hold more rebounds. We gave up to many dunks to Adebayo. Never gave him a hard foul.
Center spot was odd this year
When we got iHart all we heard was a good passer (true) and could stretch the floor (didn’t see that)
In years past I always thought and commented that Mitch had great hands. I still think he probably does but the issue now is he’s surprised if they pass him the ball
Regardless C is a key position we can think about. They are undervalued like RBs in football. Can get more talent for the dollar at C than you can at wing
Thibs will insist though that C be a defensive anchor and a force on the boards. Like others have said though our guys will need enough offense though to at least keep the other team honest. We are playing 4 on 5 and sometimes we’re not even using the C effectively to set picks (which can really help grind down an opposing wing fighting through the screens — see what Bam did to out guys)
Thib has changed. Perhaps what he ultimately wants at the 5 has also?
Noah was a great passer and had some outside chops.
Mitch was here already and this is what coach had to work with.
It was important to sign mitch last year and he delivered. He also played a full season and is very tradable.
Knicks have picks and yoot to trade along with very good contracts on Randle and RJ if need be. they will get many calls in the next few weeks. What they do depends on the calls.

Moving screens. Should of have fouled out of every game
