fucking yellow dumbass.

Brunson has been fantastic. 26 year old building block guy. I think he's our Lowry. I would be totally comfortable running this team back and resigning Josh Hart. Bank on seeing internal development. The centers are both young. RJ/Grimes/IQ/Obi/McBride are all guys who you hope to level and keep building chemistry

We need another jumbo wing that can play defense, rangy, and can reasonably hit the 3. Ideally put the ball on the floor a bit..

We need LaVine or someone like him. LaVine can shoot from the outside and create offense. He’s big enough and plays average D when engaged. Barrett, Toppin, and picks.

Grimes is that man

Grimes doesn’t create any offense and I don’t see any indication that he’s more than a 3&D guy at this point. He hasn’t even shown flashes of it.

Really? Not for me, I see flashes of it all the time.

Grimes has decent burst past players and has made passes to cutting players and those around him on way to basket all the time IMO

That's not his role right now nor what has been asked of him. I think he has a ton of potential to score and in a variety of ways.

its not what grimes is now its what can he become.
Lavine is great not, but that knee and contract can become an issue.
Grimes second year and learning a lot. We start two 22 year olds!!!! Both are doing really well.
Grimey still has a way's to go. This was a great year and I think we are close to our ceiling for now.
If we run it back IQ, RJ and Grimes all should be improved.
We have the least playoff experience of any remaining team!!!!

I now expect Brunson to drop 30 or close to it and the bigger the game I expect even more. I can't believe I am even saying this about a young in his prime NYK PG, but here we are. THIS was the signing we needed. We need more, but this was the one we absolutely had to get. We needed a star PG and we needed to not give up half the team to get him here.

RJB is the bigger story in this postseason, to me. Not to diminish Brunson but we should be used to that stuff by now. RJ was a bit enigmatic but he sure looks to me like a player that has found his shot. And if that is the case, we have a legit star SF.

We're getting closer with every passing season.

Let's force a game 7. I want more Knicks hoops!

Big time afraid of LaVine's knee.. particularly at $50 mill per in the back half of that contract

to me Ingram is the better fit. Would be worth the cost imo

He’s been relatively healthy and isn’t a high flier style player anymore. I don’t really see the concern there. He’s played most games in the last few years compared to a majority of star players.

Vs Lavine, for the money I’ll bet on RJ future vs his. Lavine is a very good player. The money and the knee is worrisome.
Ingram is a hell of a player. Does it not bother anyone that he has played only 100 games over the last two seasons? 45 and 55 games each?

This is were the rubber meets the road. We need to upgrade one of RJ and Grimes is understandable. We need a “star”.
Really, we could use Bradley Beal at the 2. Dude is a scoring machine and can play off the ball some. He has a monster contract. Its going to cost directly or with another team Grimes and IQ plus EF and picks. Still have to give up more money.

Ingram spot up shooting would be great on this team.

Granted, if RJ (he is 22) still has more ceiling im not inclined to give him up. Im a fan of the kid. To be fair, his resurrection does increase his trade value if traded.

There is a game tonite. The narrative changes as we go along. Im ok running the whole thing back.

And………Randle since Thibs came to town in 2 of three seasons made an allstar team and perhaps his last all NBA team (they are going positionless in the future). That exceeded my expectations!!!!!

GustavBahler @ 5/12/2023 10:27 PM
Thank you Jalen Brunson for answering our PG prayers. You arent getting paid what you're worth to the team. But the FO will have more cap space to get you some help.
Panos @ 5/12/2023 10:31 PM
Brunson is a superstar. Can't believe we lucked into that signing
SupremeCommander @ 5/12/2023 10:37 PM
I'm not old enough to have seen Bernard King play, but my dad talked about him and the tear he went on in the playoffs against the Celtics endlessly

Well RIP pops… I'm going to talk my ass off about Jalen Brunson against the Heat like you did about BK

My wife just came down and said sorry but I told her it’s not so bad because I saw JB and that strip sack JG steal

It really is. It put our franchise on a completely different trajectory

I do not want to argue with you…I love JB and am happy… but Amare Stoudemire had a better first year than JB imho and how did that play out

Maybe, but consider the price. Stoudemire was making the max.

Amare had half a great year and then we traded for Melo. Amare also had more miles on him plus a significant injury history which is what really did him in here

We need a big who can match with JB. Randle is too ball dominant to be that type of player. I would love for us to package Randle and Mitch to get Ayton and then start Obi at PF. Both those guys in the front court full time would work really well with brunson

I’ve spelled this out elsewhere but in my starphuch I keep Randle. Mitch, IQ, EF, and a pick. Thats two starters and a future no. 1. I want to see what Randle can do with an interior player to pass to.
