That you can break a franchise 3pt record one season, and spend the following season healthy, and on the bench. When your're on the outs with Thibs, you're really out.

Players notice these things just like fans do. Nobody wants to be buried on the bench for the better part of a season, after a rough start. Including the playoffs. I dont believe its strategically sound, or a good way to recruit veteran FAs.

As I said much earlier in the season. I hope the FO looks back on how things went (in detail) if they see some good candidates out there, interview them. If they still believe Thibs is the best choice, Im good with that as a fan.

We have Budenholzer and Nurse without a job right now. If there was ever a time to test the waters, see how they might do things differently. This would be the summer. Normally dont have such great candidates available.

sorry... did you just saying Thib's burying of Fournier is a bad look for free agents?

Did I stutter? Not stars, role players.

how the fuck should I know if you stutter

Because you couldnt read my post without asking that question.

Because what you said literally makes zero sense and everyone is flabbergasted you'd actually type those things out, that'd be my guess.

It’s a damn shame when knick fans can’t go to a knick forum and speak freely about a player or coach without the ignorant kickback. Can’t say anything negative without the world falling. Grow up. We all knick fans including Gus. If he thinks thibs has some room to grow, why are you guys all over him.

Fish has a way of attacking other fans and I don’t get it. Please respect each others opinions with the personal attacks. Martin your wrong. I understand exactly what Gus is saying and feeling. It’s getting old and this shet needs to stop.

really? What way is that? The dude literally wrote that Thib's benching Fournier is going to lead to FAs being turned off. My "attack" (read above) was "did you really just say that?" followed by Gus saying "do I stutter??

Its a damn shame when "fans" can spout stupid shit and when someone responds with "really???" people call it an attack. Maybe that's what they mean when they call people snowflakes. Whoever they are.

All I can say is GO KNICKS and hopefully Thib's earlier benching of Fournier doesnt cost us tonight. Hopefully nobody is offended by that.

Gustav likes to agitate and provoke just to prove to himself that someone actually read his post. When he gets called out, he gets pissy

Fish you might have also mentioned that when Fournier got benched our season turned around. Winning will attract FAs. If riding pine because you're not holding up on both ends of the floor scares you off as a FA, then benching a player has that benefit too: it scares away FAs we don't want -- ones more concerned about their minutes than winning

BLkexec you're wrong on this one

Last post I said that we would have to "agree to disagree", but here you are keeping this going. Who is being pissy here? Just you.

If my diaagreeing with you gets you all agitated, find another poster to interact with. Problem solved.

Thanks blkexec. Most of these posters were just as nutty about Phil Jackson and Kurt Rambis. Like 12 year old fanboys. Then they move on to the next faux outrage. Its amazing how much they can summon from even the slightest disagreement.

Want to see a troll get checked on this board, you're in for a very long wait. Some folks love Drama.

Don't get the sensitivity on here. Never understood using the victim card if someone disagrees strongly and you are going back and forth. Assuming many on here played sports at some level. Most on here talk shit, argue points like we are hanging with our boys at a bar. Some on here are on this politically correct kick seen only at a book club. I for one am okay with a little trash talking. As long as it's not a severe personal attack.

Saying Thibs a COY, who just took a regular squad to a 5 seed and was in conversation for another COY is an opinion. Some feel it is stupid one. As was firing the coach of the Bucks. Yet some on here want the FO to follow suit on knee jerk reactions. They won't.

Martin just asked Knickoftime to leave because he had too many silly posts where the only point was to agitate. (He had informative posts too). there have been others too, but he was just like a week or two ago.

If you (and by you i mean you, and not "one") say something really provoctive, and people call you out on it, then don't be surprised: you provoked a response as you intended. ANd don't act hurt. People do not have to agree with you and you some points for creativity or a participation award, if they think the idea is nuts.

My advice is take your lumps and move on. Benching fournier has proven smarts, and shopping for a new coach is unwise when our current one got us this far with the roster he has

My advice is to go fuck yourself. Its been literally years since we have talked hoops. But you wait until this pile on to start spouting off?

And if that poster was banned , he got more slack than he should have. More slack than long time posters who avoid drama.

Not sure what other fan forums you frequent, but this board is tame and well moderated in comparison....Martin gets credit for that. In other places its a combination of non-stop trolling and politicizing in most threads.

Give Gustav a break. Sports and internet forums are not natural environments for old women. We should be applauding the fact that at least we have one on the forum. My so called wife is the same way; immune to reason and can only change the subject when the fallacies in her thinking are pointed out. 3 other posters have brought up what an idiotic idea it is to interview other candidates while expecting to keep Thibs around. If Gustav can't understand why my wife feels unhappy when I go on dates, then God bless her gentle soul.

Can’t blame Thibs. We aren’t good enough from 3 it’s an issue with the roster not the coach.

Well, clock went past a particular spot and Bondy says something reasonable.

Chandler @ 5/30/2023 2:28 PM
^^ there is a causality issue though. Maybe those guys have long tenures because they are good, i.e., they did not get good because they had long tenures

I still am stunned that Nurse, Doc and Budenholzer got sacked this year. For whatever flaws they had, they were pretty darn good all things considered

Another thing that makes no sense to me, but Spo is seemingly getting paid peanuts consider the success he has had with Heat whereas Pat the Rat is highly compensated.

Nalod @ 5/30/2023 3:19 PM
Spo gets 8.5mil per. Tied with Doc for 3rd. Only Pop at 11.5 and Kerr make more.
Riley sold his ownership stake back to Arinsons few years back.
RIley makes 11mil per now.
