Remember the short time we had Antonio mcdyess?
Davis is mcdyess with more skill.
We can’t play 4-5on offense for 48 min
Watching bam adebayo shows you how a 6-9 multi skilled center can
Enhance the team. Can we find a pick
After 20
To grab this guy we’ll be happy we did
Really believe that Jackson who is a play now guy can offer the Knicks a true upgrade from hartenstein as Robinson back up. He has great defensive and offensive versatility and would give us an option we don’t presently have. Another thing I like is that he could hybrid between 5-4 at 6-9245. He’s like a young Antonio mcdyess and people are missing it a but.
The way to improve the team is internal but tgis wouod be an impact rookie which could net the team a notch up in skill level
Maybe we can offer the nets one of our picks next year for the 23?
Bam’s extreme athletic ability far exceeds Davis who is a solid built kid.
Very different type of players and bodies.
McDyess pre knee was a high flying jumper. Not Davis at all. Dyce, after his knick stint played a few decent years but not the jumper he was.
Obviously he want second to last in the second round so trading to the 23 pick would not have been necessary. Curious to see if he pans out.

No davis is a serious athlete in the same caliber as mcdyess. Doesn’t matter now

Davis Vertical is 33 inches.
Dyce was 42.
Bam was 38.
Not saying this defines anyone but at Davis’ age he is not going to start flying, and all Im saying they are not the same type of athlete. Thats all. Im not predicting his career or trajectory but if your going to compare to promote then perhaps use someone like with greater fundamental skills for comparison than Dyess, who was a raw athletic freak that did become an allstar player. Giannis was perhaps a good comp for Dyess. Davis? Mabye a Carlos Boozer or wendall carter, or Elton Brand. You know, Duke players!!
Hey, Hope the kid pans out as you wish. GSW a good place for him. Older player, nba ready for a role at low cost. That he gets an oppportunity over money might work to his advantage long term.

If he had the Skills of Davis he’d a been top 5 lottery pick and have his own sneaker. Instead his trajectory might be looking for a trade to a state with big dispensary weed business and his own line of flower.
Im not that “high” on him outside of his novel vertical which is fun to watch.
