Depends on what's being asked for. If it's Bradley Beal prices, then hell yeah. You think Randle gives uninspiring playoff performances. Wait to you see Pandemic P at his worst.
I havent seen Paul's wife in a while, but she might give iHart's fiance a run for her money.
I need to know more. PG13 has one year left on his contract. Is this a dump?
He makes 45 this year and nearly 49mm next with a player option. Post said one year left.
He is 33 and often injured.
What am I missing that makes me think its a good idea?

IQ would probably go in that deal after the Clips missed out on Brogdan. RJ, Obi and Grimes also strong possibilities.
EF, 19mm
Obi, 8mm
Drose 14nn
That's it.
Then its:
Mitch/IHart
Randle/?
PG13/JHart
RJ/Grimes
Bruns/IQ
Obviously there is more to this but as it would be in my head.

Was brogden to play with PG13?
Paul George is 33. A fine player but hasn't been on the court more than 60 games since 2018. Great all around player. Not sure I want to give up a lot for him though. Fournier, Rose's contract and Toppin works and I would be ok with some of the other picks. I don't know. Does this deal happen without including Barrett or Randle?
The thing with the older stars is that its like a game of musical chairs. I can trade 4 1sts if I know I will have a chance to get them back on the next trade. But once a guy hits injuries like this after 30, you gotta wonder if there is any residual trade value.
I look at the Simmons trade chart and obviously have questions. GSW isn't taking Randle for Dray by that value chart. BS. At 33 with one year left on his contract, how much could a team trade for George?

god he's just not worth those guys. We absolutely need a 3rd bigtime player to compete but we also need quality depth and it needs to be the RIGHT star.
Anthony Davis would be best fit. Dude cant make it to the postseason without being totally busted.
KD would be a great fit between Randle/Brunson. That's obviously a no.
Giannis is an obvious yes for us, an obvious NO from the Bucks.
LITERALLY ALL the right fits are not available. Butler would be the perfect SG.. etc etc
All these guys being mentioned like Zach, PG etc are all 2nd tier guys.
If anything hurts its not getting Porzingis which we surely could have at that price point.
I am totally OK if folks think I am wildly overvaluing our guys but Grimes is a stopped, IQ is a 20ppg starter, Mitch destroyed the Cle front court, year 2 of Brunson/Randle playing together.... this is the time to be patient. We are young. Phuck these broken down guys making $40mm +

This look like one year or two? I see two. Am I missing something? He gonna not opt in on nearly 50mil??

There has to be more to all of this.

I'm guessing that was the plan. I think it would've been mistake to go into the season with three, very injury prone players as the key to your success.
Seems like deranged short term thinking.
PG-13 is not the missing piece, not on our time line, and seems ridiculous consider the way things were being put together.
We need shooting but we're going to get another guy who wants the ball in his hands.

I would hate this deal if they gave up real assets. Paul is a really good player, but he's not reliable from a durability standpoint. I'm good at missing out KP. He still needs to get paid.
You know the Clips would seek an overpay. Add Knicks tax. For a guy who won't suit up for the playoffs?
Paul George should be a bench player. All we are doing here is asking for trouble—- cuz his knees are unstable. He’s not reliable in a league that demands reliability
I’m having a sinking feeling of here we go again w hurt older players
I'm all for being aggressive this offseason, depending on the move. Trading for George feels like a McDyess kind of trade.
As I said in another thread, like to see the FO cast a wider net.

He can shoot, no?
he's a fine player. it just makes no sense. too old, too much salary, bad fit (four iso guys). If you're looking for purely shooting we can do better and honestly might have better if could get IQ and Grimes to be more willing
to use your term he's kind of a star-phuch. His wheels might fall off any moment

bingo!
i'll be the first to admit i was wrong about Julius when he came on board. But at least he was young and arguably ascending still (and for two seasons he did ascending to all NBA)
he's too much money and not a great fit, even if he's a great player when he does play

I agree. Im just trying to understand what is just a rumor.
All it said was knicks talked. That's it. I'm not thinking this is a thing until it is and the final price. If Beal went for basically nothing, I expect PG13 for even less than.

Understood. Things have been particularly quiet on Knicks front this season, and I'm a 1,000,000% fine with that. And then this breaks out?!?
How about some Duncan Robinson rumors (guy is clutch), or CJ McCollum, or one of the Indiana guards.
I really don't want PG-13 at any price because he is off our timeline and unreliable. If we get him for any assets I'll be nauseous.
How many years would the knicks window be if they trade for PG-13? At 33 years old, how many more years can the knicks have of prime pg-13 before we can see a start of a decline in his game. If the knicks get him for sure the roster depth will be compromised, how can Thibs replicate his bench unit dominance last year? Can the knicks win with just having a dunking Mitch on offense?
The only thing I don't like with PG-13 is his age. Missing a handful of games the last few years might be able to help his overall wear and tear. I can see some chemistry and respect between Randle and PG-13 during the podcast. If the all-in-move of this office is pG-13, i think they would need 2-3 more moves to complete the offseason.
Will this be enough? Finally bring in Rokas, Sign DiVincenzo and somehow find a way to get Naz Reid to the knicks. If the trade package includes RJ, iQ and Obi plus the expiring of Fournier, will bringing in these 3 new guys be enough to put the knicks at par with Boston? I cant decide whats a better move, PG13 or Lavine as the main offseason move for the knicks FO.
