- Everyone makes too much
- The stars are too old
- good young talent doesn't get traded
- GMs want too much
- Players are too injured
- Players have too much input into where they go
And we don't get what we want.
Shopping List for Jalen Brunson’s Knicks:
1) Mikal Bridges - Nova reunion. Premier 3&D
2) OG Anunoby - Big wing 3&D
3) JJJ - Knick family member will need a permanent home.
4) Deandre Ayton - Big C that has offensive skill.
5) Donte Divicenzo - Nova reunion. Athletic backup to pair with Hart in the second unit.
You keep the Harts and bring this in, man, you can have every other asset I can trade. Or just wait to 2026 to sign them outright.

-What is “too much”? “Everyone”? Really?
-The stars are old. Its why they are stars. They are proven.
-Good talent is not old, then don’t make too much, and are not injury prone. See the correlation?
-Good talent does not get traded. Yes it doe. Stars rarely do.
-Players are “too injured”. Too injured for who?
-Input on where they go. Not entirely. Teams that receive a player that wants to be there is more valuable via a trade. They are agreeable to an extension. If not, trade value diminishes.
Dame Lillard has his list and Portland does not have to adhere to it. Its just not good business to do so.
Only beal had a NTC.
Not tied to rumors: Jokic, Doncic, Giannis, Embiid, Tatum……..Top 5 right there. 4 of 5 not american players.
All NBA team has 15 players. Only Dame Lillard is perhaps being traded. Jaylen Brown? He due an extension. Randle? Rumors amung fans, nothing is out there.
Who else is on the market? Not KAT, not Zion. There is logic and rumors, but substance?
Or this thread is a fan hissy fit. Problem with trade market is fans take it too serious.
Problem with NBA trade market? No
Problem with fans who want their sugar rush trade candy? Yes
With the new CBA, patience would be wise. $50-$60M annual salaries for old players or non Stars will be roster killers in a few years. Leon has the Knicks positioned well given the CBA rules with only one outlier (EF who is only with the team one more season). Rest of the roster consists of very cost efficient and moveable contracts. Also don't discount continuity. A youngish roster of players who like each other and developing/staying together longer will likely play better team ball.
