RJ, Hart, Jericho will fill in the backup bigs minutes

One shouldn't have to do with the other. You can get a PF without it having anything to do with Evan

That’s because the only thought you have is immediately filling the backup PF spot and haven’t taken an iota of time to engage beyond that one thought, right?

It’s repetitively kinda pointless convo?

You mean the Knicks couldn't have gotten a back up PF independently of Evan Fournier to protect the team Incase of injury for a minimal investment.
I mean the Lakers signed Christian Wood for the min. I don't get your point otherwise. If you find it pointless why spend your time pointing that out ??? Your free to discuss what you like and so am I.

I’m just trying to help get you answers to your underlying question but really you just want to keep attaching that quandary of a giant, PF-sized hole in the roster.

Carry on soldier, but beware what you see over there aren't giants or power forwards or answers, they're windmills; and what seems to be arms are the sails that rotate the millstone when they're turned by the wind.

God speed.

I think the team has a weakness in design which could have been addressed. I am not advocating they acquire a starting level highly paid PF who will demand 20 minutes plus. Just a vet who can come in and provide size and shooting. I believe you should be prepared incase of an emergency and for various situations. I don't quite see me fighting windmills like Don Quixote but would you like to join me in a rousing rendition of " The Impossible Dream " ? Might be fun. Other teams stack up talent in case of emergency and for insurance for injury or futures trades. This team has been like " We got our guys that's all we need " I just hope that doesn't return to bite us.

Martin so what is your out of the box response ?
Alpha1971 @ 10/3/2023 10:59 AM
BTW best rendition of Dream the Impossible Dream was done by the late Raul Julia. Sawan or La Mancha on Broadwayant years ago when I was 22 on a date with a professional Opera Singer. She loves the guy and got so worked up over his performance that the after show was even better then the Show. She was an opera singer but wasn't fat but curvish and womanly. Ah my youth ... She was a German woman studying her craft and a coworker, fun times..🌶️🌶️🌶️

I mean in FA who is really signing a vet min contract to play 10-12 min behind Randle? We already have guys on the roster who can fill the void. RJ plays more like a PF, Hart can play there some. The combo of iHart and Simms has been tried with success and Sims needs minutes. Robey? Kind of a scrub 4th string pull in case of emergency option. It’s not there is any kind of gaping hole or glaring need. We will all miss the highlight dunks but Obi needed more minutes in a contract year. He gone, life goes on.

You can never rule out Randle playing 40+ a night. Thibs will Thibs

I disagree. Look at the Lakers who have AD, Hachimura,Vanderbilt, and Lebron who can play the 4 but they signed Wood as a vet min and even Can Reddish as a player who can play 2-3-4. Insurance at the vet min doesn't damage them at all but provides insurance in case of many potential eventualities. Other teams as well . We could t have taken a flier on Bol Bol or Uruba ?

I've already given one possibility to you.

You are sitting there in front of a tic tac toe game wondering why people who play that chess game need to think beyond the one step of marking an X or O on the board.

My first summer at Boy Scout Camp as a CIT was in 1993. Raul Julia came up for a week with his son and after being low key all week sang "DtID" at the closing camp fire. Us kids only knew him from the Adam's Family, but that song has stuck with me ever since. It might be the only time I ever heard it, but I can still here it like yesterday. What a great memory. (no sex afterwards though)

There's still room on that bandwagon. Hop on and enjoy the ride! Wasn't there a time not too long ago when the Knicks had every PF in the league on their roster? The Knicks just don't have a lot of size, but they do have plenty of players who can play PF for spot minutes. You'd think with our lack of size we would play with more pace but we don't and we can't. Back up PF is the least of our problems....we still can't shoot and we don't play with pace. 99 problems but a backup PF aint one

Too many PFs to too few. But one takes very little to correct. But anyway ... We need to pay with more pace and we are a short team so that can be dealt with independently of not having a back up emergency PF. I don't get your point but whatever. We will see how it plays out. Hope my worry is unfounded. I'm just thinking of singing show tunes in the most masculine ways possible... " TO LIVE THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM...." If you haven't get yourself a romantic evening with a German Opera singer, I highly recommend it.🔥🔥

Opera singers are really well educated and devoted to their art form. My opera singer was working full time at night and studying music during the day. I can't generalize that they are all mental but mine was a free spirit. She enjoyed me being the complete opposite cultural wise meaning I knew nothing about Classical music. I was young and she ten years older having mov d to NYC from Germany ten years before. NYC is great these type of things happen all the time. I am Jamaican and Puerto Rican who has just broke up with his Indo Guyanese girlfriend to be rescued for a time by crazy old German Opera singer. NYC is great !!! Only in NYC
