So hypothetically Bertans gets cut. He would want to go to a team that has minutes so he could compete for his next contract.
He would not get minutes with the Knicks. The Knicks do not need another shooter who does not defend or rebound.
Bertans would not choose to play for the Knicks nor would the Knicks want him on team in favor of something they need. ???. Profit.

Still plenty of time to recover. We'll see what happens this season.
It can take a few weeks to a few months for your plantar fascia to heal, for us normal size people. KP is 7'3 with a long list of physical injuries, which increases the risk of reoccurring. If I'm boston, I would start looking for their receipt to return damaged goods. This injury occurred while playing for the wizzards. I'm starting to think KP will continue to be injury prone during his entire career. But when healthy, he's a difference maker on both ends, and should fit it nice with Boston (in Al Horford's role).

They should have kept SMART AND the other guy

Yep, I thought they needed more ballhandling. I think the Celts took a step back, regardless of KP's health.
They came up short with Smart and the team did not go further. KP is a risk but it gives them a new dimension. They had to do something than just go sideways.
I think its a good move. Will it work? Not my job to predict but I think Vegas odds will give more objectivity than KP hate from a Knick fan.
That team is about Tatum and Brown and adding a KP as a Third option. Derrick white in the starting lineup vs. smart makes sense also.
Bringing him off the bench might have been awkward.

They lost Smart. He is a leader, a great defender, and was probably their best passer but his playmaking was suppressed playing with two on-ball players that are both stars and not great passers. It is a tough nut to crack. I think the ideal solution is a passing big like Bam/Sabonis/Joker. That would max Tatum and Brown's usage with your big feeding them from the middle of the floor. Those guys are hard to come by so they upgraded talent instead. I think it is a good move. Smarts mins will go to Malcolm and White and KP gives them yet another shot-maker and a guy that protects the rim. If Malcolm and KP can actually stay healthy I think they are very very good. Malcom and White are very good players in their own right.

KP is a ball player. If he can refine his passing just a bit more he is dangerous with his range.
Brown and Tatum can find easy buckets if they make cuts and work a bit more off the ball.
KP health is paramount. I doubt he ever fulfils his early promise we had hoped he would, but still something less is a valuable piece.
Boston went full "Bargnani" on him. He could take them over the top. Or not.

Hypothetically what team can offer him more playing time then the Knicks at this point ? Knicks have the Bi Annual left, and a back up spot for 12 minutes if he earns the spot at that rate. Does he sign for the min and gets just the same amount of minutes ? At this point he is not anymore then a back up for 15 mins a game. I think if we want him he would sign

The other teams have depth that will preclude Betrans from getting more time then he would get here in NY, with the exception of Miami but again Miami has a young big they drafted last year who they likely will groom. So of the teams you mentioned the Knicks could give him a path for back up rotation minutes. But we shall see. I'm not going to pull up the rosters of the teams you mentioned Not that important you may be right and I can be wrong.

RJ is putting in work, but I have to honestly say, alot of those drives ended in shots that look very Brunsonesque when it comes to that little flip release to get the shot off and the speed at which it is executed.
The outside shot looks good. Video highlight he never misses!!!

Respectfully, you are wrong and should maybe actually familiarize yourself with their rosters.

I don't think Bertans in an NBA player. The problem with Bertans is Bertans sucks

I think Bertans is an NBA player. A mediocre one who won't likely get big minutes because he's too specialized, but a player nonetheless. But he's worse than Fournier. There's no way Thibs would play him and he's pretty much in the same situation as Fournier contract wise. I don't see the Knicks moving Fournier just to repeat things with Bertans.
