The Knicks' lawsuit is largely based on a fairly customary practice among coaches and development staff who change jobs: bringing with them files and notes on different programs they implemented as a part of previous teams.

This is the final paragraph from the ESPN article. Seems like they are already trying to spin this. I was ambivalent until I saw this. Now I think the lawsuit has some legs. Knicks likely have access to communications between the Raptors and their staffer at the time. Now the league will have to search through the emails of other hires to prove how 'customary' it is.

Why didn't the Raptors review the fies themselves if any team has access to these files? Seems lazy and reckless in the climate we live in. Most teams have safeguards in place to protect themselves from liability. What kind of ship is Masai running over there? It makes perfect sense how the Raps screwed up Fred's free agency.
