Grimes for Tim - somehow I feel like this is a Knicks trade but its not.

Quickley gets 35mm per.

What a 10 mins for former Knicks

These contracts are insane!

That's a pretty good situation for Grimes. Playing with ball dominant guards is right in his wheelhouse.

Knicks traded for knick........
Dallas dumped THjr salary. Rumor be Dallas trying to get Jeramy Grant? Maybe Grimes moves to Portland as part of a bigger deal? If not its a good opportunity for Grimes to crack the rotation.

Interesting. Ingram the next big trade coming down?

Woah. That’s not a lot of assets for Murray.

Yeah, my man Landry overplayed his hand. Hollinger said the Hawks pretty much got underneath the tax threshold with the deal. I dunno.

Obi $60 million for 4 years with Pacers…I mean good for him but it’s getting kooky.

Good for Phila. Also good for the Knicks, it will be that much more fun for them to beat Phila next season.

I have to say - I have felt like Paul George is the most overrated player in the NBA for last 4 or 5 years.

At age 34-38 good luck to Philly paying him 50mm+ per. I wonder how they fill out the rest of their roster. They have a lot of open roster spots.

My goal is to get the last year of my contract guaranteed. Priorities start after that.

I don’t know that I agree. Paul George is a gamer. Fundamentally strong in pretty much every aspect of the game. His age and injury history are of course his downside risk. But he’s a bear perfect match for Embiid and Maxey.

Sixers are interesting but they will need a lot of vet min contracts to fill out their roster.
Embiid 50m
George 47m
Oubre 8m
Maxey 13m (cap hold before extension)
Drummond 5m

I think they have about 10m left after accounting for roster holds. Will have to release most of their remaining players. Paul Reed is about 8m, guessing they have to release him as well.

Would have room exception and vet mins after that.

Teams take a bit of time to establish chemistry and vets on 1 year contracts don’t really have that time.

So, I love what Philly did here. I don’t see them as a threat.

Paul George isn't worth 50m/yr at his current age and you're paying him that until 38. As a Knick fan, I'm glad Philly strapped themselves like this.

They were able to get Eric Gordon on a minimum salary deal. Oubre also gave them a discount. I'm sure Lowry will come back for a min deal as well. I guess that's 7 playable guys, but several old/injury prone guys. I think Drummond's deal was a room exception deal so they are down to min salaries most likely. Melton, Hield and obviously Harris are probably out the door.

Philly has good talent but will be thin unless they get some good vet min signings. If our bench performs like it should they should not be a problem. My opinion assumes we re-sign iHart.

Our bench already beat most of their starters
