Middleton is also 31 and has been on a slow decline physically. Connaughton also has a shaky injury history. Saying the bucks are thin on the wing might be an understatement.

I don’t even know who their backup PG would be

I guess they can glue a few minutes together of point "Giannis." Middleton, if healthy, is also a decent secondary playmaker. But that defense is gonna be rough. Jalen Brunson might have his first 50 point game in MSG against the bucks. Maybe they'd be in the market for some Deuce.
This is Parity. You can load up front on the front but it gets thin quick.
They will be old too. Very old.
It could work.
Miami should make a run for Holiday. its their kind of dude. Its the money that makes it hard.
Herro is no star but he can put up buckets when Jimmy is not.
Vincent and Strus are gone. They have Caleb Martin who really showed up in the playoffs.
Knicks are doing it done way. Boston due core came from draft. Still the best way to do it!

This doesnt affect the Knicks. We're more than a couple of seasons away from a possible trip to the Finals. How Grimes and Quickley play next season, and what the FO does from there. Will play the biggest role in the team's future IMO. They have to get this right.
If healthy, we could easily come out of the east, IMO.
If Giannas and Dame click, they are probably the favorites. Plus, Giannas won't be daydreaming about NY in his future.
I think this trade may have affected us significantly.
In any case, may the best team win.
As currently constructed, I dont believe so. Not without a big trade that makes Randle the third option. Not just going by last year's playoffs. We would need another star. And it will take time to get them on the same page as the other stars. That usually takes a season or two.
I dont believe in the next couple of seasons we can catch the Bucks, maybe the Celtics, if KP is hurt. Miami.. we'll see. Cavs will be a threat as well. We need more help.

it's all a crap shoot.
I felt our team was right there- if we could have gotten by Miami, we'd be able to get to the finals.
Of course, we need some luck, some health. Just like just about every other team.
I think this improves our chances. I think it is better to have Dame in Milwaukee than Miami with Riley wisphering in his ear sprinkling whatever magic they're using to keep Butler healthy.
Dame and Giannis both are injury prone, and the rest of their roster is pretty old too.
Dame could turn out like Rodgers as QB for the Jets= we're one piece away and then poof.
Ooh. I love this trade. For me to poop on. But seriously. I think the Bucks are worse. That 2025 first looks more valuable as a 35? 36? Year old Lill is hitting higher and higher salary. Listen, the Bucks actually got younger with this trade, and Lillard creates more space for Giannis’ mid game, but they basically have 4 players in their starting lineup that will play less than 60 games and then there is Giannis. Lillard’s matador D will hurt their plus minus. This team will still live and die with Brook Lopez’ 3 point shot and Khrushchev Middleton’s health. Still a contender. Yeah, sure. But they are near the top of my likely to underperform list. Expectations are too high. I don’t see it.
Now Holiday, I see a move to Toronto coming. Heat don’t have the pieces to make that move. Ayton and Holiday flip to the Raps, in my opinion.
Bucks better win this coming season cause they will be flirting with the 2nd Apron next season unless they are able to dump some salary. With an older high salary roster predicting they will be looking at a rebuild in 2 years. There is stil hope for Giannis trade
Khrushchev Middleton has to be one of the all time best spell checks.

I don't watch Milwaukee enough but it does seem like they are trading defense in Jrue for offense in Lillard (as well to extend Giannis). With a front line of Brook (his bro) and Giannis (and Porter), maybe that's a good enough swap.
I do agree with you on the age and # of games that starting lineup will be able to stay together. Bucks gonna be in the hunt for backup PG.
As well, I think Portland likes having Ayton surrounded by all of their young guards, he is a keeper for them. I could see Jrue going to Toronto though
This trade might blow up in Milwaukee's face. If they get bounced in the first round again what happens ?

Why even go there? You can do that for every team that makes a trade.
As long as they resign Giannis to extension, everything else doesn’t matter

You said " Don't go there " basically. It's a sports discussion site, lol. But by the way, who cares if he signs and extension, you been paying attention. If they get knocked out of the first round again he will sign and extension and request a trade.

That’s not how any of this works. And I’m asking you Why.
Are you paying attention?
Cause Bucks got bounced in the first round this past season and got a direct message from Giannis about changing/upgrading the roster.
And the owners listened.

I see Milwaukee being a mess if it doesn't work next off sea
Son
How they get bounced might matter.
Why did Butler insinuate "tamper"? Did Portland grant Milwaukee to talk with him?
Is his agent allowed to talk? Can't Giannis talk to him?
He is not a free agent is he? No he is not. So what is it about tampering that Butler would have issue with?
Miami was not injured in any way were they?
Milwaukee has gone all in. It's win or crash and burn it to the ground
