Milwaukee has gone all in. It's win or crash and burn it to the ground

No it isn’t. It’s that way only if you think in those 2 limited terms.

Jump ahead a season and Milwaukee gets eliminated in the second round. Milwaukee will be a season older with Lopez, Middleton and Dame. Depleted with draft capital and having to max out The Greek.

And the team would happily extend Giannis. They will prob get it done sooner rather than later.

If you take every situation and apply the worst case scenario, things will always look like shit. You can do that with pretty much every team.

Issue is will Giannis want to stay. Worst case scenario is not far fetched. Team improved on offense but lost grit and skill on defense. Other teams like Boston has a longer window and more assets to improve should they fail. Milwaukee will be fun to watch but I don't think it's a sure thing for them in the EC.

Why even go there? You can do that for every team that makes a trade.

As long as they resign Giannis to extension, everything else doesn’t matter

You said " Don't go there " basically. It's a sports discussion site, lol. But by the way, who cares if he signs and extension, you been paying attention. If they get knocked out of the first round again he will sign and extension and request a trade.

Wait. What?!?

It's a Jessica Alba site first and foremost. These little sports club discussions regarding the Knicks are tertiary. Of course, Vivek Ramaswamy is secondary on the discussion hierarchy. It used to be Rebecca Harlow, but I don't think Martin has ever forgiven her after she got knocked up by Wally.

NBA players are crazy. Dame really thought he could give the Blazers a list of 1 team then purposly tank his trade value then when things don't work out come back to the team like nothing happened. I could understand a normal trade request but to go out of your way to F the team over on your way out is too much.

I'm a big believer in the "skin in the game" theory. It's nice to talk possibilities but really where the money goes is what's important. Vegas has put Milwaukee at the top of their championship odds, so I think that says a lot more than worrying about injuries and lack of depth.

The big thing that kept me from putting the Bucks at the top of the Eastern when I did my predictions in the summer was the rookie head coach. Dame solves a lot of those problems because now "give the ball to Dame" becomes a viable strategy and play call during the last two minutes of any close game. The Bucks always had to have big leads in the 4th because their lack of a reliable shot creator who can hit foul shots since Khrushchev Middleton got injured. Now that problem is solved.

For all of Jrue's defensive prowess, he was a liability in the playoffs because of his unreliable shot making. Dame is a big upgrade.

Portland on the hook for essentially throwing games. No big deal. The NBA will probably say it's on par with the actions the Knicks took "tampering" in the Brunson FA and dock Portland two second-rounders.

the nba don't care about tanking. The Mavs situation was all I needed to see to figure that out.

Send the Blazers gift cards? WTF? Sounds like Ujiri believed his own hype.

I’d offer the bucks literally anyone on our roster minus Brunson.

The Blazers Gm is a damn genius. He used the Dame trade to create an eastern conference arms race. The genius part is he was the only one with the weapon(Jrue) he could sell to the other eastern conference teams to boost their arsenal. I love genius and this guy pulled off a genius move. He could not get an amazing return for Dame directly so he got it when you combine the direct Dame trade and the indirect Dame trade because of the problem he purposly made with the direct Dame trade. I love it.

Clean @ 10/1/2023 1:20 PM
Amazing that Heat fans were saying he could never find a better trade than that trash that was their final offer and he then found 2 different trades better than what they offered. The Raps GM was also a joke thinking he could get Dame while not giving up anything.
