Knicks · Tickets for the Cavaliers on Noverber 1st (page 1)

Coneill @ 10/6/2023 6:44 AM
Hello Knicks fans,

I am contacting you from the UK.

On October 28th I will be arriving in New York on vacation with my family. My 10-year-old son and I would LOVE to attend a Knicks game while we are there.

I am severely sight impaired, with limited vision, so use a cane to get around, and a monocular when attending any events outside of my home.

Looking at the game on November 1st, can you please advise me which area of the stadium would be good for us, but where tickets are only a few hundred dollars maximum?

Also, should I buy tickers now, or wait until closer to gameday with the hope that better tickets are available to buy on resell at a reasonable price)?
We would HATE to miss this (most likely once-in-a-lifetime) opportunity to see the Knicks play.

(A couple of days age I discovered that tickets to the Statue of Liberty crown are old out months in advance so sadly will are going to miss that opportunity! ☹ )

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Conor

Dont live in NYC anymore. From what you have described of your situation, somewhere above center court would be your best bet I imagine. You should also have the best view of the scoreboard to watch replays.

You might want to try calling the sales dept at MSG, explain your situation. That you're flying all the way to the USA to watch a Knicks game, and would like to know if they have any seats available for someone with your condition.

Good luck and enjoy your stay in NY!

Thank you @GustavBahler

Top tip there to contact MSG directly. I will follow up on that suggestion.

Thanks again.

The front row in 200 corners (208, 214, 221 227) are my favorite spots.

Anyone know of a site where I can see photos of what the view is like from different seats (similar to the views available for NFL tickets on Ticketmaster)?
Thanks

Thanks

Most sites do that these days. Stubhub and gametime two off the top of my head.

I usually wait until the day of the game because you'll get a great discount on the resale market. However it's not always guaranteed like for the playoffs this year the prices never went down.

Since you're coming from out the country. I would just buy on ticketmaster to guarantee tickets

In my experience, closer to the event date is better for the price with the exception of when the Knicks are really, really good

I don’t think the Knicks are a hard to get ticket again yet… some risk involved with buying a few days before or even day of but that’s when you’ll generally luck into the best deal… The risk is only scalpers sell, but even then you can just buy once the game has started. That’s my go to move. It won’t work for everything but I think it might for a game before Christmas, and while I’m optimistic about the year this ain’t Ewing vs MJ

Thanks for your reply.

I didn't to risk not being able to get suitable seats for me eyesight, so I went ahead and bought the tickets. Plad more that I had wanted to, but it;s on the bucket list, and will most probably will be my only chance.

I tried to contact MSG. The 888.609.7599 number is not contactable from the UK, so tried both the 212.465.6000 and the 212.465.6225 numbers. Had a total of 3 calls with being on hold for a total of 78 minutes, and never getting to speak to anyone. Also emailed them twice, but as yet no reply. Very disappointing to be honest.

I went ahead an purchased the tickets. Fingers crossed the view will be suitable.

Thanks again for the advice.

Enjoy the game and everything else. And please let us know how the experience is for you.

Away and then home back to back against Cleveland, second game should be intense.

Thanks Martin.

Getting really excited by it now. Can't wait.

On another note, I am very disappointed that the Disability Assistance team STILL haven't replied to me emails I sent them TWO WEEKS AGO!! I do hope the service I get there in person is a lot better than that.

Cheers.

Sorry to hear that, not a good look for MSG.

You might want to fire off an email (better yet a letter) to James Dolan. Not confrontational, he famously doesnt take kindly to angry emails. Maybe share your experience, and how you hope that your next attempt to buy tickets goes better for yourself, as well as other disabled fans. His office might get back to you in time.

Hope you enjoy the game!

Is there a verification process to validate your request?
perhaps they get lots of requests but are not valid?
Coneill @ 11/16/2023 5:47 AM
So the bad news is that the MSG Accessibility team never got back to me. They really have no excuses for this extremely poor service I

But the good news is that we had a lovely time in MSG. The staff there were fantastic. It's a lovely arena.
The game was great to watch in person, even if the result wasn't what we wanted, but we had a lovely experience and will have memories for life.

Thank you everyone for your advice and tips.
