Caught the first half. Seems like Thibs wanted to see some things in the second half and I turned it off.
Randle obviously has not played over the summer and his timing is all messed up. The Fiba guys looked good. RJ carried the first quarter and likely told to let loose a bit on the 3.
Its still preseason so impressions don't really carry over. They are trying things for sure. I liked the few push where Grimes and Evan got quick clean looks.
I like that Evan is getting a good look. Obviously don't know where it goes but playing well helps both him and Knicks.
IQ looked rough, kind of like the beginning of last season? Again, its preseason and game speed will catch up to him. Maybe he is pressing it no matter how he says the extension is not a thing. When "its not about the money, its about the money". Read someone said his price would/should be about $85 mil over 4 years. I like Quick but not on the super high ceiling bandwagon some fans are and thus have no idea where his price is. With DDV he has competition in the building at a very fair contract. Quick was important to team last year but is he expendable?
Naz Reid.......When we talk about KAT, Reids rise and resigning matters. He kind of does a lot of what Kat does so thats a thing too.uys

While not a Mark Jax fan, I expect he'll be ok in his new role. He'll have to homer up a bit and fans like that. Given his experience he should be able to add a great deal more. Is he vying for Clydes job? Eventually Clyde will hang it up and chill in St Croix in the winter. Sad day coming when that goes down. Is this his last season? They going to announce it and give him a "farewell tour"? Would he even want one?
I like JVG the coach, but his on air personality not as much. With his kids grown does this mean he might be looking to get back into coaching? Interesting to see how it plays out.
Im impressed with the transition Brad Stevens has done from the coaching job to President of Celtics. Mazzulla might be in over his head a bit but they responded well to him under the circumstances and perhaps not until they ran into Miami was he out coached. I have to assume JVG role is the help him?

- wonder if J Hart impact will be significantly less long term vs the small ~25 game sample size last year and I love Hart
- skill of T-Wolve bigs — Towns, Reid, Slow-Mo and not even counting missing J-McDaniels puts our guys to shame
- Wolves ball movement had us on skates for good portions of game
- Where is Grimes on O?
We are LIMITED from a pure skill perspective and going to need to grind very hard to match last year - IMO
I get the feeling Thibs is going to wear his starters down to exhaustion then reluctantly make a substitution.

I wouldn't take too much from this game. But Minny is well built for now and should be good. they are big, have range, and move the ball because they can.

I feel like that there's much wrong with watching these highlights. I can feel the collective groan of the entire nation of France. Seeing Gobert out there couldn't have helped matters. At least they have Olympic Wemby to look forward to.
