He's been letting RJ, Brunson and IQ in game 1 get theirs. maybe he's taking it easy in a sense, i like it, once his shot gets going he'll score more but he's fine letting others help him for now.

Spot on. This is Randle’s best role imho. He looked great and in turn other guys were better.

Hope it’s not a mirage.

Randle can average 20/10/7 on this team very efficiently if he doesn't force.

And still be a guy that can go off for 40 any given night.

I don’t think it is dramatic as saying Randle is now your 3rd option, but in this game anyway, Randle clearly had a different role and it seemed to suit him and the team much better.

It was so good to see. Defenders can get into his dribble and Ju seems to lose it a ton, but last night was sooo good.

I’m still shocked at his production across the board last night, snuck up on me

RJ's playmaking looks better this season as well, he's made some nice passes. He's getting better at drawing defenders, slowing it down and making the right play instead of forcing a tough shot.

Against a team with a lot of pretty big wings too. Nice

It can be successful during the regular season will it work in the playoffs against the better teams ?

depends on your definition of successful. This team can make a nice playoff run, we weren't far off from the ECF's.

but ultimately in the NBA if you don't have a top 5 player like a Curry, lebron, Jokic or Giannis, then the odds are very stacked against you for winning it all.

when I saw us small, I thought, wow, Atlanta is a tall athletic team - are we going to be able to manage. Seems like we did ok.

More of an MDA line up.

If this evolution of RJ holds - and it seems and feels pretty solid to me - he has indeed taken a good step forward.

Even his midrange shots seem legit.

This is the RJ we’ve all been waiting for.

Well for now I am hoping RJ takes the step we all hope he can. Hoping the team can win it all with a cohesive and deep roster. A piece or two I am hoping is what we need. But don't expect it this season Success would be ECF appearance for this year.

that's a high standard, I love this team but realistically are we one of the top 4 teams? Is our season not a success unless we are one of the final 4 standing?

I think ECF is within reach, but last year was also an anomaly of sorts with MIL getting knocked out early.

I say just enjoy the season, this is the best team we've had in a long time, even if its not quite good enough to win it all, we have a legit top 10 team, but as long as we are competitive i wont say its a failure if we lost in the 2nd round.

Stole this pic from RealGM… that non Donovan trade turning out better than ever.

martin @ 10/28/2023 9:02 AM
Mitch was the leading minutes guy at 38 and only had 1 foul and played some of the best defense I’ve seen him play ever.

Who would have ever thought all those things would have been possible even a few years ago?

4 steals, 4 blocks and 75% from FT to boot 😳

martin @ 10/28/2023 9:08 AM
just about half the shots the Knicks took last night were from downtown. It’s Thibs dream of his version of GS or MDA like offense

43-90 overall, 20-44 from 3point. I hope they keep this up.

It’s not far off LOL

That's why we play the games. All kind of scenarios can arise on our team and others over the long season. Our team is good just hope they make some tweaks or maybe just a tweak. We keep holding our assets for a potential big deal but scoff at a chance to just add value like KP it's the player is not a sure fire enough star. Well hope the team stays healthy and the pieces all click as optimized in the vision of the front office. Can't wait to see them play the Pelicans. That's a team with wings ...

Bro should lead the league in flop fines.
