He was good as a Knick, in that 2019 season he was better than Randle. He just got traded to sit behind Tobias Harris. Is there a way we can trade for him? I want someone we can plug in when Randle is having his "female tendencies" if you catch the reference.
With PJ tucker traded might he still get minutes in Philly??
Mook was with us just 43 games 4 years ago before he was traded to Clippers for the pick that became IQ if I recall.
His best statistical stretch of his career. He started 65 games for them last year.
We could swap him outright for Evan. Both expire and similar money.
I like the idea, especially with Randle in doldrums right now. I like it even more if he comes with Embid.
I see Morris as a clubhouse cancer (lawyer) and only reason he played well for us was he got all the shots he could Jack up on a crappy team.
He is short, isn’t a defender or rim protector—- if we are adding a bench 4 let’s try to find someone who is long/defends/blocks some shots.
Ultimately can we just please get rid of Randle so we can see a team function for 48 minutes.
Randle is fools gold and we aren’t going anywhere with him as main cog.

Well said, we don‘t need the corpse of Morris or mental midget Randle on this team.
Can you imagine what they will do to the team moral when combined? LOL

It worked! We got IQ out of his Jack Up show!

Always been. I’m on record during Randles best all star year. Trade him then to get the most value. In the same breath, I said we never trade someone when their value is high. I’m like thats exactly when you make a trade.
So what did we do, we wait until value is low to talk trades. Too late now. We have to give up the farm if we force a trade now. The only play is to wait until Philly or Cavs come knocking.
Randles non verbal emotions and Thibs management of Randles all around play, has been the key to this team from day 1.
We are built around 3 inefficient volume shooters who rely on their scoring to impact the game. So When 2 of 3 are inefficient, we fail as a team. When’s the last time all 3 or even just RJ and Randle have efficient games together.
Thibs system needs his top players to have high offensive IQ. But their default play is tunnel vision. IQ has that a little as well. We constantly leaving guys open and frustrated. One of our big 3 needs to be team oriented with all around skills.
This is why fans were high on OG or grant. They are both long defensive 4s. Yet there was pushback because they can’t carry a team like Randle can. But 2 of our 3 can now carry a team offensively.
Please excuse my morning rant. After I get some coffee and especially after a win tonight, with Randle leading the way, I’ll be back on my “patient” train again.
RJ is missed. You remove Randle and RJ goes nuts regardless of the team makeup. Randle doesn’t look ready yet. He’s better than this. But even at his best, not confident he can lead us out of the second round.

Ok and now you want him back and think he’ll be happy/solid playing 10 mins a night? And who’s minutes is he getting?

Ok and TBH I forgot that’s how we came into the IQ pick
Morris shot a high pct from three as a Knick, he wasnt just jacking up shots. That got other teams interested. I wouldnt expect the same results, if he came back
I don't know if Thibs trusts anyone else. Sims hasn't played this season and McBride only sparingly. Maybe if Randle gets hurt something changes, but it looks like Thibs has already decided which 9 guys he will play.

he probably is, thats why we need one of the youngins to step up and become the #2 guy, so far RJ is doing that.
Randle might just be that guy that can help you get to the playoffs at least... i mean he's going to start cooking once we play some bad teams, and he'll eat up a ton of minutes and games.
but come playoff time i already felt much more comfortable with RJ & Brunson as the two guys.
and hard pass on Morris. Why would anyone want him playing over DDV or Hart? just because he's taller? Hart and DDV are all over the damn court causing havok, rebounding, running, playing hard and playing the right way. All things Morris isn't going to do.

All fair points. However, he’s a very good 3 point shooter who can stretch the defense. We also need depth at Pf
Sims is being groomed. Injury to Randle you'll see him and IHart together perhaps. This happened last year and Simms is healthier and seemingly might have a move or two on offense.
If not, why is he here?

I see him as only a very minor stop-gap as a 4 —- brake in case of injury.
I see him as a 3rd string center personally—- don’t even trust him as a legit back-up 5 especially if you compare his game to everything I-Hart brings us.
Jerico’s best attribute is his ability to guard smaller players but he isn’t very good guarding the post and he is often a second late to the party contesting shots at the rim. I don’t dislike him him just think he’s a classic short-term energy guy that would be exposed in bigger longer term role.

I’d rather give those minutes to Josh who will rebound, defend, distribute and just make the sum of the parts better vs a big mouth Morris who wants shots is mediocre defender, doesn’t defend- just don’t like his fit.
3-4 years ago - yes I liked him.

Im keeping an open mind. But Yeah, He is there if Mitch or IHart go down.
He is there if we get a big matchup and we need an athletic big for 15 min.
He can have role. Thats all Im suggesting.
He is here for a reason. Until he plays, we don’t know.

I like Sims but only as a backup C to have as depth behind Mitch. Mitch and Sims together on the court = no spacing. Ditto for Sims and Hart. Hart has some post moves but he can’t shoot either

Josh is a very good rebounder for a 6’4 guy but he’s not a PF. Eventually teams will go with bigger lineups and start picking on him in the low post
