Taj is a centerballer.

You had a typo.

I like Taj but he has absolutely no offensive game besides the occasional outside jumper when he’s left completely wide open

OG and Precious, Sims and Isiah can hold down the front court.
Randle is all NBA/allstar. Maybe you get Olynck but he too won't be cheap. John Collins and Grant I don't see as fits in the Thibian mold.

Hard to speculate until the MRI results are in. In the meantime I’d say the trade for OG that included Precious seems almost prescient now. Him and perhaps Jacob Toppin as “next man up” for the time being.

Listen Clyde... I came here to bitch and moan, not look up words.

Heh heh. That was Clydesque, “flexing the lexicon ….”

But by all means, bitch and moan!

Panos @ 1/28/2024 12:21 PM
We all knew that Randle would miss some games this year which is why trading Obi for basically nothing felt so stupid.

If the Bot could more strenuously focus on the cheerleaders like he should, Bitch and then moan can have a much better connotation!

Seems Indy blowing two picks for OBI now that Siakim is there seems foolish.
Unless you know the future, its all a guess.

OBI's camp probably pushed for it....he was trying to get paid..so I don't blame him

SergioNYK @ 1/28/2024 1:09 PM
Sexton and Olynyk would be nice if Ainge wasn't expecting the stars and moon for them.
VDesai @ 1/28/2024 1:10 PM
Sexton is a core piece and he has been playing great over Utah's hot streak. It wouldn't make sense for them to move him. They should be building around Sexton and Markannen.

Just an FYI, Obi is still getting big minutes. He just got 33 minutes vs the Suns.

23pts on 67%
11rebs
and the game winning put back.

Danny Ainge is probably fuming that they are playing well tbh. He will trade them all.

Hey, all the best to Obi. But regret is misplaced here in my opinion - he doesn't fit this team. You know, defense and all that. I honestly prefer Precious. If Obi were here giving some offense off the bench that would be great. But the "stupid trade" talk is just the usual. He wanted out, FO accommodated that and got what they could. I highly doubt he would get a return of more than two second rounders today, just my guess.

Just an Fyi.
Obi scored 3 points tonight on 1 of 5 shooting.

The Knicks could have held him till the end of the year as a useful piece of the roster. They didn't need to do his "camp" favors. He could become a UFA and get paid just as well as he will now. We don't need two second round picks in the high 50's. They are garbage.

Obi is CAA. They did him a favor. The same way we get some benefits because of our CAA ties we have to also do right by CAA repped players even if it means to give someone up for less than you would like. It is a give and take. If we held our own CAA repped players hostage why would any others CAA repped player like OG want to come here?

What are you talking about? Hostage? We drafted the kid, and he had a backup role. Just like he has a backup role in Indy. How was he a hostage?
