No shame in losing on the road in Minnesota. That's a good team. It's as simple as making shots and 35% from the field and 9/38 from three isn't going to get it done on the road. Overall we went 3-2 on this road trip which you take 10/10 times.

As much as Julius upsets my stomach --- I'm sure I'd regret KAT in 2-3 games.
I don't like KAT's game at all and he costs almost twice as much as Randle.
How can the team not celebrate more that awesome dunk by Robinson? We've been watching him for 5 years and I think that's only the second time he ever did something like that. He outplayed Gobert in the first quarter but didn't get any credit. I was less disappointed in the result then by the team's attitude. Maybe they were just tired.

pretty much. overall a very successful road trip.
LivingLegend wrote:That was an abomination -- sloppy, sloppy, sloppy - shooting just a dud --- complete iso game.Randle taking plays off again -- now shooting 38% FG, 28% 3FG, 67% FT
Say that again 38/28/67 ---- 38/28/67 ---- all because of the damn ankle.
The man has two ankles. He should use the other one.
like most teams, we are going to struggle against elite defenses. Outside of Brunson we don't have that dynamic star scorer against the top defenses.
Randle shooting 37/27 we are honestly in a great place at 8-6, could be much worse considering how poorly he has shot most of the year. It shows we aren't as reliant on him as in years past.
No cred to the winning team talent or defensive chops that stuck it to us?
We got beaten.

We walked into the game knowing Minnesota was a good team. I don't think that's the point. That's given. They beat us soundly.
I think the point for me was that I wasn't sure whether this team could be elite. Right now, I see a team that collapses against top tier teams. Like Utah two years ago. Great record, but can't win against elite teams. This is fine if you want to keep a slightly above 500 record and at 18+ draft pick sitting at the end of the bench every year, but it needs something more to click to break through.
Team needs to re-evaluate how it plays the game. Everyone had a bad shooting night, which is just Minnie playing good defense. But the Knicks offense couldn't breakthrough. They don't have the athleticism to breakthrough.

Second time just this season! That new stronger foundation he built over the summer has really given him confidence this year. Amazing what taking conditioning and strength training seriously will do for your game.

"collapses" is a huge exaggeration. We had leads @MIL and BOS very late in the 4th. And we've beaten other good teams like CLE, ATL, LAC.

I'll save you the thought - this is not an elite team. It's a good team that will make the playoffs and could get back to the second round depending on the match up but zero chance at getting to the ECF.
A stinker. But one game. No we are not elite. Still growing.
But losing sucks out loud.

But Randle is going to need to be extended relatively soon and that deal will be longer/worse vs Kat - no?

We collapsed against both Minnie and Boston. And the first game against Boston where we "had a tight game" at the end, we had a 6 point lead with 3:30 left and somehow lost by 5. That's a collapse.

we came back and took a 6pt lead with 3:30 isn't what i'd call a collapse.
at the end of the day BOS is arguably the best team in the NBA, they're going to win most of those close games. we aren't at that level.
i didn't watch last night's game but it does seem like Minny's new coach has the team playing much better.
they came out stronger in the second half and we didn't meet the challenge

Cherry picking clips to propagate the agenda - always with humility and never boring.

same coach i think
oops i thought this was his first full year. it's his second. regardless they do seem to be playing better as a team

Yeah, He's seems like an empty stats guy. I know he's talented but I can't say he's the guy who worried me the most on that team. We need an Ant like shot creator.
