He’s a legit big-time scorer that would be part of our rotation if acquired and would be a nice add without major long term sacrifice- that said I don’t know his contract situation right now.
Rumor has it Piston;s turned down 2 1sts for him last trade deadline so price may be high with numerous suiters.
we dont have room for another rotation player. I like Bojan, but he doesnt come close to making us a true contender, he's not a long term piece, and I wouldn't want to cut our young guys minutes anymore than we already have.
I voted no... for now. That's the kind of trade I would make on February 8 not on November 30. Bogs doesn't put us over the top and doesn't really give us much more than the ability to sit Randle down. Pulling the Fournier salary off the board now essentially takes you out of the running for any other large cap players in a combined package trade. The 90 day traded player restriction means he cannot be combined with other salaries before 90 days - which is past the February 8 trade deadline. I would have made that deal over the summer and I would make this deal on February 8 if nothing came up before then, but I kind of expect to need that salary before the trade deadline for a more functional player.
Det need him to open up space for its slashers and win some games.
I'd also want to see how he plays and healthy.
This should be done if at all later in the season for both teams.

Didn't you want Zach LaVine? What's the difference?
is he clutch? if so i vote yes.
If we didn’t land DDV it would be a no-brainer. But I don’t see it because there is no room in the rotation for him unless it follows another big trade.

Lavine is simply much better, much younger, and we'd be making room for him on the roster.
Personally i want no part of Lavine. Putting aside potential health issues (non-trivial) his personality has always troubled me. Way too often too cool for school. Wants to play even if he's sucking up the joint. Seems selfish to me
I think he's tough and one of the best shooters in the league, but he's also old. Would be easier to say yes if we had an injury in the rotation right now.
I think a move like this can improve the team and rotation, while replacing EF who is cancer on the bench. At least with Bog, he’s not going to complain as much. And like someone said, we need more clutch shooters. EF and my guy Deuce might work, according to rumors. But this FO will not break the bank or sacrifice our youth development for a roll player north of 30.
What's more valuable the Detroit second rounder we own this season or the protected future Detroit first rounder we own ?
Other factor to consider for trading for Bogs or a player like him, the contract for potential trades to match salaries. Knicks won't pick up that Forunier contract next season. Thus they will lose that contract needed to include in a trade for a higher priced player. Bogs would fill the same salary slot and would be valuable to keep for next season to do so. He would be more attractive for another team for such a trade as well. Maybe Deuce and a second with Evan can do it. Pistons could use a defender like Deuce and next season with our picks and maybe Rokas incoming Deuce is likely not going to be here anyway

Not fair at all to call Fournier a cancer. He's mostly been a good soldier. A well paid soldier granted.

This guy is a legit big-time offensive player - feel his offensive game is going to age well and he’s big enough to play some 4.
I would think all 16 playoff teams and a few more will be interested because he can fit almost any offense and because of his age the price might be suppressed but we aren’t getting him for Fournier/Deuce —- would need to be either draft capital added.

he averages 3.6rpg, he's not a 4. rebounding and defense are such a strength for us.

Yeah I remember those articles from…last summer. He bitched a bit. Kept his mouth shut since. “Cancer” is wrong and a cheap shot.

Agreed. He has been a gentleman.
My take on Evan is he wants to be traded and he not happy.
That does not make him a cancer. If he does his job and practices with no beefs then he is just fine.
Cancer is spreading discontent and creating disharmony on and off the court.
He wants to play.
Other than wanting out, how is he problematic??
