Good old Paddle Hands —- he is fun when he blocks a shot or gets a deflection on a high screen but man those hands.

Sims has been very meh but I don’t want to take I-Hart out of his bench role.

1) he’s playing fine coming off the bench
2) Taj can start and support the other starters for 10-15
3) we’ve already moved DD out of bench group - moving I-Hart out I think impacts that unit significantly

So while not ideal I say just see what Taj has to start and go from there. Don’t think we want to start grinding I-Hart into 35-38 minutes every night - may not be good for longer term

Also have option against certain team (Nets?) to start Jules/J-Hart at 4 & 5 - maybe Thib goes that way if opposition doesn’t have strong post up big (ex Claxton).

Like I was talking about last night. I understand this position in general but in reality this is not what is happening. Sims has expectedly played so bad vs starting bigs that Hart has had to come in early anyway. This mean Hart is still not playing his normal role. So why are we still hesitating to start him? He started the 2nd half due to Sims injury and everything went fine. By forcing Sims to starts we are digging ourselves into a hole for no reason. We can't expect him to go from DNPs to playing vs the best. Hart did fine starting so let him start and hopefully we can get more out of Sims off the bench.

I don’t have a super strong feeling either way on this and I’m probably being influenced by fact Thibs already had the chance to start I-Hart but chose Sims who isn’t better - so my assumption was he does want to mess too much. I won’t be surprised either way and respect your view.

His lady loves it though, good ass-slapping hands

There was a weird armpit phase too. Maybe the Bot is just feeling his way through this all

Ummm, right. A phase!

Season gonna get weird when the Todd dives deep into some obscure Japanese style OnlyFans subreddit and then comes up for air

I'm more curious what contract he gets. $15M per year?

Jericho is simply not an impact player. He's just an energy guy. I am confident Taj could make more impact. I'd rather see Isiah start and Taj come off the bench.

We are doing a good job scrapping out wins on this road trip though. Impressive considering how bad our defense has been. Need to split with MIL, they've had our number.

Also, Randle seems like a different player lately. He's very poised getting his shot closer to the basket. His moves look clean, he's getting good separation and seems able to get any shot he wants 12 feet from the hoop. He's an ace finisher around the basket too.

For someone with Sim's build, he gets pushed out of the blocks pretty easily at times. Looks like a case of someone primarily with "gym muscles". Needs to work on making his legs stronger, put on some weight.

Great to see RJ drive and dish, hope he keeps it going. Will make defenders think twice about how they D up, knowing RJ is also a passing threat when he drives.

I used to call it the "touch the sky" defense with David Lee. He gets to his spots, he rotates, he contests, but he doesn't make a dent or make anything difficult on the person he is defending.

LOL, I used to call it "jazzhands". Lee was the ultimate stat padder with the Knicks. Loved to grab the rebounds when every one else was headed to the other side of the court. Gamed his way into a 100 million dollar contract with GS, and a ring. In fairness, Lee actually played some D as a reserve on that championship team.

Have to give Lee credit. 100 mill, a ring, and a nice looking tennis star spouse. Cant hate on that. But I didnt like how he so casually used the Knicks as a stepping stone to get there. Why I still believe in the eye test.

Knicks won't let you beat them inside. They give the 3 away. Its ugly at times. But its on the opponent to execute.
Lakers did not and they lost. This is what it is now. You want perimeter defense? Of course you do when we are getting defeated by that. At what price? Fans think "I got this, defend the perimeter and we good cuz our interior is set". My brothers, it don't work that simple.
Lakers are not good long ball shooters. We gave them that and they did not execute.
