He doesn’t seem so bad now - you’re right though thought of those hands batting balls away like A Judge is depressing. He’s probably already going thru plays with Thibs.

Can we get someone with an ounce of skill who might make a FT?

No desperation moves. We should be looking for a backup not a starter and only then if we think Sims can’t play backup minutes

Briggs will be moving IQ/RJ for TJ Davis on Warriors

By the way - didn’t strike me until this AM but anyone realize how open/effective are offense looked with Hart starting - at least it seemed that way for 1 game.

I think Hartenstein opens a lot of possibilities. I’m more concerned with replacing his backup minutes than I am with him filling in for Mitch to be honest.

We DO NOT beat the Cavs without Mitchell Robinson. This is a huge setback
Nalod @ 12/21/2023 10:57 AM
second break of bone non contact injury for Mitch.
Im am concerned he comes back "better than ever" because this injury might be a thing. He breaks things that need to not be broken!!!!
Team offensively is better with iHart and if we can, I extend him asap. His agent has us over a barrel but thats the price.
As for back up? We went back to the future with Taj, is Norlens even in shape? He was cut by Sac? We better bringing someone up from Westchester?
Isn't that why we have a team there???

I'm sure he is secretly rooting for Hasheem Thabeet of his beloved UCONN.

Simms has not looked good starting but was not any issue in a loss.
Im confident Thibs knows what he is doing and he'd find his rhythm. If not, cut him loose.

Vucevic is trade eligible in another week. Reasonable contract, decent production.

I hate to bring this guy up again but desperate times call for desperate measures. The most talented big out there is still Kai Jones.

*EDIT* I see he is repped by Klutch so never mind

I could see signing Kai to a two-way or just a G League deal. But Thibs isn't going to be patient with him as figures out defensive rotations and his spot in the offense. And let's be honest. Kai has a lot of crap to figure out on and off the court. First and foremost, I just hope Kai is seeking out professional help to figure things out.

Not ideal because his deal runs through 26. The team is already up near the hard cap and contract doesn't help the situation.

Yeah our cap future is murky. He is a tradeable asset down the road

Not trying to be a jerk because I’m very into great athletes but when you say most talented - my initial thought is talented at what? Besides being a complete moron/psycho he has shown no true basketball skill. So bad his team told him to go away.

Guarantee 60mil and he on first year of extension. Paid 18.5 this year.
And who is hot now? Bulls! Why would they dump him if the season is still workable?
They want even and a second? Maybe.
but......We have Mitch a few more years, and iHart will want to be paid.
Nalod @ 12/21/2023 1:07 PM
We need someone for a 10 day until simms is back, not a desperate situation.
Is Herb Williams in shape?
KnickDanger @ 12/21/2023 1:50 PM
Yeah, not getting the trade for a starting center thing. IHart is ours. Also not for Kai Jones types who won't last the interview with Thibs. But depth at the 5 - and 4 - seems prudent.

Mitch is great but we are so slow and predictable with him in the lineup. Even Randle is running the floor now. You just can't play with pace or spread the floor with Mitch.

I'm just spitballing. I'll leave it to the experts on this board to talk themselves out of every player who might be available.
