Randle versus Obi should be interesting but most importantly we need a damn win!
nycericanguy @ 12/30/2023 11:13 AM
Randle's gonna drop 40 on Obi.

Damn Obi last 3 games scoring 3,7,3.

I wasn't big on Obi at all, his game leaves alot to be desired outside of finishing, but even I thought he'd average 14-16ppg running with Hali and that IND team.

Leon drafted Obi over Haliburton. In the first use of a draft pick with a lottery pick. Everyone makes mistakes, fine. Yet, that decision means no fan should give Leon Rose unquestioned trust in his judgement
franco12 @ 12/30/2023 12:38 PM
we'll probably be short handed.

Over under

Number of basket hanging dunks for Obi/number of broken ribs for Obi guarding the Beast.

That’s easy for me. I give NO ONE unquestioned trust. Part of the reason why my takes receive backlash. Leon definitely missed but he also hit on some picks so I’m not totally down on Leon for this. He’s a player agent not a GM. So with no experience he’s actually doing a great job.

Let’s see how this OG trade pans out. This will be another mark pr talking point on Leon’s short GM career. Time will tell.

Will OG play? We sure would need him and Precious tonight.

I think this season is going to be interesting. We are making an other trade with Fornier and picks to bring in a starting SG or Dejaunte Murray ? Or are we going to use our first rounders during the next draft to add more role players ? We need length and shooters

If being right on draft picks was THE metric for a Prez's success, NO PREZ/GM in history would be considered any good..

GustavBahler @ 12/30/2023 1:53 PM
Put Jacob on Obi, he knows his game better than anyone.

The drafting of Obi didn't make sense then. I liked Obi and made all the defensive arguments at the time. It was a CAA led decision not based on talent. That's what makes it worse

Isiah would have been considered good for his drafts- not his trades, though.

Right. It's a stupid benchmark for me.

Was failing to draft Bridges and other for Knox a feather in the cap of that front office ? When evaluating Rose that first draft and the reason behind it have to be considered. But let him make amends. He traded for OG after I made that post. Let's see what's coming down next.

Obi was a bad draftee.

Unquestioned trust is just not a thing cause every GM swings and misses. Literally every GM, so it's a useless statement.

In the scope of things talking sports is useless, right 👍. Let's see if Leon has another move soon. Time for the team to improve. We hadn't improved in the off season despite your insurance they had. Better late then never. We needed size and shooting. Let's see what's next
Alpha1971 @ 12/30/2023 2:19 PM
The game versus Orlando exposed us. This off-season team took a step backwards. We needed size and shooting. Are we done ? Glad Rose admitted to failing to address size and versatility. Let's see what else they do.
