I'm sick. My favorite Knick.
HofstraBBall @ 12/30/2023 2:55 PM
Fans should get ready for this to hurt but wish him luck!
Alpha1971 @ 12/30/2023 2:59 PM
You root for the shirt. I loved IQ and being drafted at 25 made it all the more bitter sweet. Yet, if we get a another guard to replace him shortly then life goes on.

Miss IQ already. Hate to see him go but I understand they could not pay a 6th man, $25-$30 mill a year.
SergioNYK @ 12/30/2023 4:07 PM
Absolutely LOVE IQ and was hoping he'd be a Knick for life!
sealy @ 12/30/2023 4:13 PM
Can't think of another Knick being traded away that has hurt more
EwingsGlass @ 12/30/2023 6:41 PM
Absolutely would have loved to see IQ break out here. He is an amazing human being and a truly talented player. I don’t think he was going to get the playing time he deserves behind Brunson. Wish we could have made that deal without giving up IQ. But you have to give to get.
MaTT4281 @ 12/30/2023 7:05 PM
IQ will forever be skipping down the Boston court in my memory.

Panos @ 12/30/2023 7:54 PM
I think we’re going to regret losing IQ for a long time.

Yep. OG better deliver.

And RJ better keep missing layups.

KnickDanger @ 12/30/2023 8:28 PM
Damn.

Man I am really going to miss him. He was a knick if anyone was ever a Knicks. His rookie year he would have some big 4th quarter shots. Last year and going into this year he was everything we could ask from a 6th man. He was this generation’s starks. I’ll miss him.
MaddogSharp @ 12/31/2023 11:07 AM
Definitely a tough blow. I liked the pick originally but he really hit the ground running as a rookie more than we could have ever expected so it’s a tough pill to swallow. It became clear that a agreement on a new contract wasn’t going to be reached so I guess it was inevitable

I see how it is, no RJ Appreciation thread

VDesai @ 12/31/2023 8:42 PM
Its really hard. Think theres even more upside to this guy. He still has some bouts of inconsistency, but now that he will get to start I think we will see the guy who thrived when Brunson was out last year.

Had to wait for the stink of that last egg to dissipate.

GustavBahler @ 1/1/2024 12:48 PM
IQ might have been the most versatile player on the roster. Which is why I was hoping we would get back a younger player than OG, and with more upside. Or part of a deal for an elite player in their prime.

We have to hope that OG stays healthy, and plays well. I would have preferred throwing in some first rounders for more of a game changer. But maybe thats for the next trade.

RJ will be there with him, to show IQ where there are some good places to live. And Im sure the fans will appreciate what Quickley brings to the table, from the jump.

I hope this works.
