No Mitch, Brunson goes 5-23.

Watching the game, first observation is the Raptors do not move the ball. So far Barnes gets the ball, straight to basket. Siakam gets the ball, straight to basket.

IQ with another 3 to give them the lead.

I’m thinking RJ is gonna get less touches in Toronto.

Probably right. Siakam in contract year. Padded stats equals more money.
Barnes just seems like a guy looking to get his. 24,23 and 20nshots in 3 of last 5 games.

Watching now and just chuckling at RJ slogging up the wing on the break —- it’s such an effort for him it’s crazy for an NBA wing.

Quick and RJ to lesser extent seem to fit this group— it’s possible RJs agression is better for what Toronto needs but Quick is the piece I’m sure Raptors are excited about. Me personally won’t miss IQ pounding the rock and continually backing the ball, out near 1/2 court.

In the defense of Barnes, someone's got to do it. Didn't realize he shot 39% fro 3.

IQ with 4 fouls in the first half. Great coaching!

And thus their record. Knicks circa 2020-2022 with RJ and Randle.

I'd expect better since Coach Darko has access to our playbook.

Toronto and Cleveland are pretty hard on the eyes. Neither of these teams are going anywhere this year.

So that's why Thibs didn't start him.

They were up big. IQ out most of second half due to foul trouble and now up by 1.
RJ playing bully ball.

They both going the trade route… with NY!

martin @ 1/1/2024 9:45 PM
This guy definitely has taken advantage of his starts.

Playing better than he did in GS? Prob because Randle and Brunson have more gravity than whomever Golden State starts 😂

The teams that admit faulty team construction and address it clinically have a chance to recover. Knicks are on the way to fixing faulty roster construction to start the season. They should continue a d not stop. Add functional talent asap. Get another wing or a SG improvement, let's go !! Then add a center to back up Heart.

I am cold blooded and a fan of the team more then an individual player. If DDV recent play maximizes his trade value I'd trade him to improve the team overall. Don't get attached to no player, it's the team that matters. Not saying I would trade DDV but his value ia high and if we can maximize the return to the team, see ya.

He’s become a poor man’s Donovan Mitchell. Or should I say Onovan Mitchell cause Mitchell plays no D

Love the guy but he's not your starting SG on a championship caliber team. He could absolutely be the sixth man though

Absolutely! Knicks fans got to be cold and calculating. Don't get too attached to any player. Loyalty is to the Team. Players go hot and cold. Don't get carried away. I'm not knocking DEVO. Man, I like Mitch Robinson too but I'd trade him too now. Right deals have to be motivated by facts and not feelings.

Depends on who is filling those other positions. Denver started Coontavious Caldwell-Pope. DD himself started 66 games on the Bucks Championship team.
