we are due a bit of a losing streak.

and we are def missing OG, Randle and our bigs right now. it's just been a bit too much to overcome.

cant wait to see us at full strength, sucks that injuries might have prevented us from having a legit shot at #2 seed but most teams are going through injury issues as well.

It might work out. An Embiid-less Philly team might be the best matchup we can hope for. Indy/ORL/MIA would be tougher matchups for us. Even with Embiid back I'd probably take that Philly matchup over a couple of those.

Gotta ruin the game for the casual fans.

Refs were inconsistent and terrible throughout - the Brunson call was the broken cherry on a s#!t sundae. Things will get better. Obviously we want the injured legion back. In the meantime we can take heart in the toughness of this team and individual players’ progress. I’m even more psyched now over the Precious Trade.

Shouldnt make a difference, but I get feeling it does in this league. A major market team with no accomplishments to speak of- this century. That could change soon.

Better rep, better calls....maybe.

If there is any hard feelings between league and Knicks it is probably to do with Dolan — didn’t he recently step down from some board of governors group and you also have the Raptors suit that are examples of issues where Silver could be less than interested in helping the Knicks in anyway.

If you think about the perception of how league caters to Lakers it doesn’t make sense they would do opposite to Knicks unless something personal with owner.

That was a brutal call on Brunson and no other ref steps in to say no wrong call and rule a charge.

There seemed to be a heavy hand on this scale

This is pathetic.

DLeethal @ 2/13/2024 11:10 AM
Couldn't we technically "protest" the loss? Isn't that a thing? There is no other way to slice it that if that call was incorrect, the game was going to overtime at minimum. Since they directly caused the L I would think that would be easy protest filing.

If you know people who think the NBA is rigged, how can you even argue with them after this game? This was such a poorly unfariy called game from beginning to end. I know everyone will talk about the last play and rightfully so but they got 33 FT's to our 12! How does that happen?! I lost count how many times Brunson ended up on the floor after driving too. But that last call was an embarrassment. You just don't call that! And it wasn't even a foul! Brunson didn't effect the shot whatsoever. To call a foul on an All-Star on a career journey man in that situation is just disgusting. Either these zebras had money on the game, were too tired to go into OT or they simply suck at their jobs. Or maybe Jacyn Goble is a butt hurt cHeat fan (he's from Miami) and is still angry about 1997-2000. It's even more infuriating that nothing will happen. None of them will get suspended or fired.

I will say though I do not like that Thibs is coaching and playing these guys like it's Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Four players played 40 or more minutes. And Deuce only got 5 and didn't play in the second half. Why? We're 12 games above .500, WE GOOD! We don't need to extend ourselves this much at this point in the season! Nothing good can come from it! I wish someone would get in Thibs' ear about this or Leon should really just waive Toppin, Brown Jr. and Jeffries and sign vets and players who Thibs will trust enough to play. Cause right now it's like a third of our roster isn't playable.

What happened last night was an absolute disgrace. First Knicks game this season that actually had me fuming
ramtour420 @ 2/13/2024 12:18 PM
Shangun dragged his pivot foot, then a few possessions later took 3 steps....Ed Malloy is a disgrace, he was the vet ref. Where is Dick Bavetta when you need him.

Thibs plays every game like it’s an 82 game playoff series. Good thing everybody got their injuries early on. Now they can come back with new tires for Thibs to burn off. I stop complaining about his high mins, but damn these dudes are dropping like flies.

It is not clickbait when we have people on the bench that can come in and give the starters a break. There was no reason for Donte to play 41 of a possible 43 minutes last night before his injury. The starters played all of the third and started the 4th except Sims. that can't happen. We are going to run down the remaining players and then they will be injured by the time the now injured players are back.

I agree. Maybe you lose the battle, but we need to keep our guys available for the war (post season). All Star break is coming up and hopefully our guys can heal up some then.

Some minutes per game stats for the season thus far:

Jalen Brunson - 35.9 (35 last season)
DDV - 25.0
Josh Hart - 29.9 (30 last season)
IHart 25.6 - (19.8 last season with Mitch)
Julius Randle - 35.4 (35.5 last season)

Luka Doncic - 37.6
Lebron James - 35.0
Giannis - 35.0
Jayson Tatum - 35.9
Kevin Durant - 37.1
Kawhi - 34.3

And so on. Yes minutes for some are up lately. I wonder what kind of blowback Thibs would get if best players were sitting in a close loss. You don't have to like it but please put the facts out there in an honest context.

Reffing is a disgrace. L2M report is a joke because in short they bend over backwards to defend the actual calls when the real issue (which any coach and player will confirm) is consistency

While refs are humans and thus will make mistakes, the lack of accountability and transparency is a joke — ESPECIALLY since they advertise gambling during games.
